Does anyone else get the impression...
that the chimp never REALLY wanted to be president to begin with? I recall he declined at first, then changed his mind. I tend to think that he was pressured into it, but always knew deep down inside that he was grossly unqualified for the job and would be exposed as a fraud. I'll bet he sobs into his pillow at night and cries for his mommy. A pathetic little man if I ever saw one.

2. Yes, I agree
Do I recall correctly that there was talk before 9/11 that he might resign? I think it was about the time that Jeffords left the Repub Party.
On 9/11 when he was AWOL all day, flying from one bunker to another, I actually thought he might not ever go back to D.C., just send his resignation in the mail.

Deep down, where his soul should be, I think he knew he was no more qualified than I am for that job.

3. He also said it would be easier
if he was a dictator. You can find the quote here.

4. Do you ever honestly feel sorry for him?

Those who live by the blank die by the blank.

14. Oh, yes, I remember that quite clearly.
Keep in mind that the governor of Texas is the weakest governor of all the states. It's largely a ceremonial job, and was perfect for Shrub, since it really only took about two hours a day, tops.

I think it's clear that in some way or another Bush was told he really wouldn't have to do much more than when he was governor of Texas, and once 9/11 happened and he actually had to show up a little more, it really annoyed him.

He honestly has no conception of what being president truly entails. He has no clue what it means to work hard at any kind of job. He's never put in an honest day's work in his life. But he can't get out of it. Oh, sure, Dick Cheney is still behind the scenes pulling the strings, but W has to put in more face time than he wants to.

And he's still on vacation about one third of the time. Wish I could get a job like that.

5. It is hard to say
Sometimes you look at him and it seems as if he knows that he is a fraud. Other times he seems so full of himself it seems like he believes the bullshit about his greatness. Other times he just looks scared shitless. I think pathetic is too chartiable a word to describe him.

6. Agreed. I've always believed that shrub only agreed to run after he
was promised that he wouldn't have to work hard. On 9-11, when he sat for 7 minutes after being notified of the attack, what I saw was a guy who just realized that he would have to work a lot harder than he ever planned to. His sporadic, objectively asinine, outbursts come across as a plea to relieve him of the burdens of the office.

7. I agree...I think he was told
that him and the stepford wife could have the "time of their life" traveling and whatever, at the expense of the people while the pukes loot the people and do whatever it takes to steal the oil. And, Laura gets a free facelife compliments of the people! Send their asses back to the pigfarm where they belong fast!

8. Yes, in an interview with Karen Hughes that I saw while living in Texas
they both laughed when he was approached with the offer. She was working for him while he was governor and she recalls they both looked at one another and cracked up. From her own lips...wish I could find the footage...

9. But, once he knew that he could do cool things like wear a flight suit...
...and get flown out to a carrier where he could say neat things like "Misson Accomplished", he was hooked on the job.

No, actually, I believe that the sons of George H. W. Bush had always been groomed to be president or whatever you have when you illegally take control of a country. Much like the Kennedy family, I don't think it really mattered what any of the Bush boys wanted for themselves.

Would it change your opinion of the FratBoy to know that during his father's 1988 campaign he worked directly with Lee Atwater developing dirty tricks to use against Dukakis? Would it help to know that the FratBoy is petty, revengeful, and vindictive?

Do you feel safer knowing that this man is a step or two away from the nuclear codes?
