Any RW response to Cheney's F-bomb attack?
Anyone heard any response from our friends to the right re: Cheney's little "vocabulary malfunction" the other day? From FR, or anywhere else? I confess I'm not brave enough to set foot over there myself, but have a morbid curiosity about how they're spinning this.

5. Freeps are hypocrites. They were all over Kerry for saying the same thing
Edited on Fri Jun-25-04 08:03 AM by bushisanidiot
in an interview (with Playboy I think?) which is far less shocking than the vice president of the united states using that language on the senate floor.. to a distinguished member of the senate.

Very, VERY unprofessional..

6. More evidence of the Republicans slide into insanity...
A man with forty years of government and business experience who can't summon up any other argument than "fuck you." Obviously not fit for the office.

8. But the Freepers (Republicans)
Don't want reasoned argument they operate at the playground level where a expletive quip is more potent than Socrates.

9. Here's the thing
I personally don't give a flying f*** if Cheney swears or not. My only issue is how the Conservative Corporate Press reacted to Kerry's use of the word as if they had never heard it used in public before, ever. The Conservative Corporate Press even took comedians who were putting on a show for a Dean fundraiser to task for using the word in their acts. Again, as if comedy has never suffered the use of the F word.

The core issue here is the hypocrisy. Watch them squirm. They are now saying Kerry's use of the word was calculated and Cheney's was due to frustration. Can't Cheney control his temper? There's a good meme for us to spread along. It is obvious the VP will blow up at any moment over any little thing. The VP is unstable.

The only question the needs to be asked is, Is there ever an acceptable time to use the f word in public?

11. In typical fashion
When the left gets angry we are off our nut. We have gone round the bend. We are out of control.

But when the right goes off they are justifiably insensed. They are taking it to the enemies of the nation. They are fighting for the common man.

It must be nice to not have to be objective and yet hold others to objective standards.

13. from one shooting web forum I participate in...
they were all cheering his hutzpah in calling down the democratic demon that was baiting him. They are all celebrating and saying it is about time.

Needless to say, I keep a rather low profile over there>
