Taking my GOP friends to F9/11 - MY TREAT
I am going to the first showing of F9/11 in my area this afternoon and have invited two of my GOP friends to go with me. I am treating - they agreed.

These two are on the fence - I want to push them over.

Let's all agree to try to take ONE Republican friend to see this movie on us. They might take their friends, and so on and so on and
so on . . .

1. I'm thinking... I'm thinking....
Do I have a Republican friend? I can't think of one.

2. We are taking my fence sitting sister and her republican boyfriend.
Unlike your asshole republicans, my sisters boyfriend (they live together) is a super nice guy. I have a strong suspicion that he will come to his senses after the film.

My goal isn't to get him to switch parties, I just don't want him to vote for Bush. If he stays home on Nov. 2, mission accomplished. If we will vote for Kerry this year, bonus points!

5. I'm going tomorrow with a right-leaning friend.
She was a Republican but is now registered decline-to-state. She voted for Bush last time but will for Kerry this time. The issue causing the change (the last straw)? It was gay marriage. She's very loyal to ME and my partner and see the value of our union. I am proud of her. SHE'S the one who called me to ask me to go with her to F911, so she can ask questions afterward. I think she'll be enlightened.

6. Good on ya, Heidi!
I went to grab some brekky this morning at Bear Rock cafe, and was waiting for them to finish making it.

The front page story in USA Today was how Michael Moore's story REALLY wasn't going to convert anyone who wasn't already anti-Bush. Those of us who are already anti-Bush would merely become MORE anti-Bush.

I thought..."Well, denial ain't just a river in Egypt anymore."

9. One of my friends has NEVER voted Democrat in her life
but is moving away from Bush and said she will probably not vote for him this time (she did in 2000).

I think there are alot of people like this out there. I will post her reaction when I get back.
