*everything* he said prior to the war has turned out to be true.

3. This was such a great evening!
Thanks anarchy for letting us know about it!

(K is LiberalTexan, by the way) =)

We had such a nice time seeing more friends, eating Indian buffet, and can't wait to do it again. Finally met Gary Page, who's running against Kenny Marchant, too. And his lovely SO, who rescues doggies.

My opinion has changed based on this speech. Formerly I thought we needed to at least TRY to clean up the mess we made over there. Now I think we just need to get the hell out.

Ritter gave a great visual--what if in 1967, the guys in charge (who knew there was no way to win Vietnam, even then) had just packed it in and left). Yet we stayed for HOW many more years? Think of all the tons of engraved names on the Vietnam memorial who'd get up and live again-- all the kids and grandkids who never had a chance to be born came to life...it was a fascinating way of looking at things.

He compared Iraq not to Vietnam, but to Lebanon for Israel. They went in to get rid of insurgents, but it became a quagmire for them, and created Hezbollah in the process.

We need to get the hell out of there.

8. OMG, this dude has no neck.
I wonder if rethugs would have the balls to call him a wimpy tree hugging liberal (although he isn't a lib).

10. I'd still hug his no neck!
When our picture was being taken, he got frantic and wanted to hide his beer. I said, "Wimp!" Tee hee!

9. Great Pictures!
I had a blast with you guys. My boss was asking how it was and told me that channel 10 news had a blip last night about Scott Ritter being in Richardson.

We need to start a regular Dallas Meetup!

F-9/11 tonight!

:hi: :)

13. IT WAS LIKE A REVIVAL
Great pictures lady. Thanks for sharing. It was great meeting all of you. I had so much fun. I felt like I was at a religious revival. It has been so long since I have been surrounded by rational people who actually care about the human condition. My husband and I were really moved by the passion of the speaker and the conviction of our table mates. You guys are great and I can't wait to get together again.

I'm seeing F911 next week with a group of friends including two Republicans I am hoping to convert (they are women so there is hope!)

14. We enjoyed meeting you too!
Didn't you expect people to start speaking in tongues? Instead of "Amen" being hollered out, it was "YES!!!"

Good luck on helping your pub friends move to the side of light. If they're your friends, I'd say there's hope.

I can't wait to see Anarchy1999's pics - there's one of me kissing Scott Ritter on the cheek. And darn it, she did something wrong and we had to repeat it. Awww - too bad. :D

:hi:

15. LOL - I thoght people were going to raise their arms in praise
It was really fun!

I like your Shrek II kitty kat. I've taken my kids to see that movie twice and the Puss in Boots is hilarious. I like that he gets a hair ball right before his plans to fight. :)

16. You're the first one to mention it!
I love PUSS...in boots! Look at his wee lit'l buoots! I was laughing so hard during the hairball that I made other people around me laugh. I was actually snorting. You could tell who in the audience who had cats. I've told people there's so much throwing up it's like living in a frat house. :D
