He nearly loses it a couple of times with interviewer Carole Coleman, who obviously wasn't coached by either Karl or Karen. She actually presses him to answer here questions and gets smirked in return:

It just cracked me up the way * kept cutting the interviewer off with statements like "Just let me finish! You can follow up when I'm done answering, okay?", and yet every time she tried to get a cohesive answer out of him it was just more of the same megalomaniacal BS.

7. What a patronising jerk
You can tell he's not used to an interviewer who doesn't accept bullshit. At first he's talking down to her as if she's a ten year old. When it becomes obvious she wants real answers, he keeps on accusing her of interrupting - in fact, his sentences tail off so she asks the next question, and then he realises he hasn't said what he wanted to, so he claims she interrupted him. The last person I saw do that so much was Thatcher, and it was infuriating then too.

12. Bush protest
Theres a 10 mile long ring of steel around Bush for his visit here later. Make no doubt about it guys, Irelands skin is crawling at the thoughts of this genocidal moron prancing around on our soil, being protected with Irish taxpayers money.

One third of the countrys police force is being deployed to Shannon and we are expecting petty criminals (and war criminals of course) to have an absolute field day.

Our government got a hammering in the European elections two weeks ago, their refusal to retract their invitation to Bush is only going to damage them further.

I'll be protesting in Dublin too, we'll give it loads fellow DUrs.

Security Threat?

Bernadette Devlin McAliskey Barred Entry to the United States

By LAURA FLANDERS

Irish activist and former Member of Parliament, Bernadette Devlin McAliskey was detained by immigration officials in Chicago, February 21, and denied entry into the United States allegedly on "national security" grounds.

According to her daughter, Deidre, two INS officers threatened to arrest, jail, and even shoot the legendary civil rights campaigner when she arrived at Chicago's O'Hare airport. McAliskey (56) was then photographed, finger-printed and returned to Ireland against her will on the grounds that the State Department had declared that she "poses a serious threat to the security of the United States."

"Mommy was this close to being locked up," said Deidre, Saturday in New York. The two were traveling together from Ireland to the US to attend a christening,

According to daughter Deirdre (27) the McAliskeys cleared US immigration in Ireland prior to boarding, and received routine permission to travel, but upon their arrival they were stopped at baggage claim. Detained by two INS officers, they were told that the order to bar Bernadette McAliskey came from US officials in Dublin.

During the dispute that followed, Deirdre says one INS officer used "very thinly veiled threats" against her mother, including, "if you interrupt me one more time I'm going to slam the cuffs on you and haul your ass to jail."

that is what real journalism is. The prick was talking down , not only to her, but also to the Irish people who "do not understand" and "do not know" and "should know" That oughta make the Irish people love him more.

If anything, this bumble minded, stuttering, arrogant prick is showing how insane he really is.

He is insane.

This is proof.

He keeps spoouting off lies, one after the other, and expressing delusions, one after the other apparently oblivious (and maybe not) of the nature of a lie or a delusion and she keeps trying to point that out.

If I were her, I would have taken off my shoe and thrown it at his face. (Off subject a little, she was beautifully and neatly dressed for the interview.)

He also loves to tell stories of the macbre and seems to delight in telling those types of stories. He seems obssessed with the suffering image, believing perhaps people who listen will sharply intake their breath and say how awful it is.

Notice how he avoids the "god speaks to me" question.

He is insane.

on edit

I see her name is Carol Coleman--

That the people of the US are willing to sit back and listen to this kind of drivel day after day, month after month, and seem to consider it to be perfectly acceptable.

And once again, for all the misery and suffering we have allowed this idiot to bring to the world, all the while pontificating about his own generosity piety, and strength.

Hope that means its very busy. Hate to have it yanked. But I really don't need any more from Bush to piss me off. Stick a fork in the pig he's done.

Expect some great moments from this trip. He's bound to be cranky and jet-lagged, even with his own pillow along.

70. I missed that lie the first time round
maybe I was distracted by this other lie that followed it shortly:
"I'm the first president to ever have called for a Palestinian state"

Which is bollocks: Clinton's speech, Jan 7 2001:

First, I think there can be no genuine resolution to the conflict without a sovereign, viable, Palestinian state that accommodates Israeli's security requirements and the demographic realities.

That suggests Palestinian sovereignty over Gaza, the vast majority of the West Bank, the incorporation into Israel of settlement blocks, with the goal of maximizing the number of settlers in Israel while minimizing the land annex for Palestine to be viable must be a geographically contiguous state.

68. Nice of him to tell her "that doesn't make me a better person than you"
I loved that part, he tells her he isn't a better person than her because he has a personal relationship with God. LOL....does he even know what her religion is if any? He is just an amazing embarrasment.

71. did you notice his quick segue after he mentioned "torture rooms?"
"Saddam had torture rooms . . ."

He realized immediately that he had screwed up and went off on a different tangent.

The Iraqis are probably saying, "Who cares if it is Bush or Saddam? They both like to torture us."

Made a complete ass of himself, I was cringing the whole time I watched it. Thanks for a great post.

Edited on Fri Jun-25-04 11:19 AM by FizzFuzz
dammitdammitdammit--I constantly have trouble with RealPlayer and all the other video player things too.

dammit, no fair

Mr Fuzz is a computer expert, but he's too busy right now. And sometimes this video problem is beyond even him. Drat.

On edit; if only if only if only the media here wasn't owned by the Evil Ones--then we could get some real info out there in sound bites that the folks who don't read can understand.
