freepers buying tickets for shrek 2 and sneaking into F-911
Edited on Fri Jun-25-04 12:02 PM by rainy
This is what my hair dresser said yesterday when I asked another, whom I remembered didn't like Bush, if she was going to see F-911. She answered loudly "no way, I wouldn't support that scum for anything." Then of course the others heard and said "what what" and the discussion began. I only stated that I like Moore and planned on seeing the movie. My hair dresser said "why? He is such a liar. Lots of us are buying tickets to Shrek and sneaking in to see what f-911 is all about."

I wonder if Shrek ticket sales will go up.

10. So Freepers are Thieves and Liars? Hmmmm.....
Yeah, why not.....

thieves, thieves and liars, murderers
hypocrites and bastards

hey thanks for nothing!
morals in the dust
two-faced bastards and syncophants
no trust

thieves! liar!
inside, outside, which side, you don't know
my side, your side, their side, we don't know
which side are they? which side are they?
which side of their mouth do you suppose that it came?
which side are they? which side are they?
which side of the grass is greener?
inside, outside, which side, you don't know
my side, your side, their side, we don't know

you're like a great big fucking gun,
just waiting to get squeezed!

breathe, forfeit erection!
toxical injection
geriatric fuck-fest
we still believe in lies

thieves! liar!
inside, outside, which side, you don't know
my side, your side, their side, we don't know
who started it? who started it?
which side are they? which side are they?
which side of their mouth do you suppose that it came?
which side are they? which side are they?
which side of the grass is greener?
inside, outside, which side, you don't know
my side, your side, their side, no one knows

you're like a great big hit of acid,
waiting to be taken!

4. O'Reilly said to do that yesterday
on his radio show. He called it the metroplex ramba or something like that. He said to buy a ticket for Dawn of the Dead and then sneak into F911. (of course, he's so clueless Dawn of the Dead isn't in theaters right now). Then, of course, he said that he wasn't telling people to do that, just that he knows that people DO do that. (but yet getting that idea out there, right Bill?)

Asswipe.

Well the good news is that they are at least seeing it.
If it does not change partisan perceptions of reality, even so, at least it will make them all the angrier. And I doube very much a rabid Bush partisan would sit through the whole thing.... it would be a big waste of time, for them.

9. I don't know about theaters near you
but around here, there is usually a second ticket person at the entrance to the actual theater double-checking that you are entering the same theater as indicated on your ticket when movies are sold out.

Yes, they are theives, but on the other hand, maybe they'll have their eyes opened. Michael Moore didn't make any of the historical footage up.

11. CALL THEATERS AND WARN THEM
Underage teens could purchase a ticket for Shrek and sneak in... this must be STOPPED.

Plus, Mike will be shorted his due when the receipts come in.

CALL THE THEATERS!!!!!

Remind them how much trouble they'll be in if some parent finds out their kid saw a beheading because they saw the movie with a Shrek ticket.

Oh yeah and call everyone involved with Bill O' Stupidass and let them know he's encouraging FRAUD and giving teens an idea how to get around ratings!!!!

12. People need to SEE the film
Edited on Fri Jun-25-04 12:11 PM by jackstraw45
Why would you call the theater and ask them to PREVENT people from seeing this film? I do NOT advocate sneaking into movies but let's not give the enemy ammunition.

The movie only cost $6 million. It will make that by Monday and then some.

People need to see the film...please don't encourage theaters to prevent people, even freepers, from seeing it. You never know - the theater might just drop the film due to "security reasons."

18. I just paid 9.50 each for tickets to a movie that could sell out.
The movie is at 7:30 tonight. It could sell out by then. If freepers are sneeking in, they could be taking seats away from paying customers.

33. Never been to a sold out movie
where the theater didn't check tickets as people walked in....

In my personal experience.

And I'd hope that any severely underage kids wouldn't be in the theater without a parent. If they were, I'd hope someone would alert the theater.

But if a freeper is too embarassed to buy a ticket, I'd rather them still see the film. Only my opinion of course....

50. In this 14 theatre complex,
there is usually a ticket taker for each 7 theatre wing. Tonight, the ticket taker was at the door of the theatre.
We got there 45 minutes early to make sure we could sit together. We were not the first people there.

19. I disagree
This could be very bad. For theater managers especially. They deserve fair warning because a parent who doesn't want their kid to see this would be hopping mad if they found out it happened behind their back.

I want people to see the film, but I don't want people's children seeing it without their permission. That's completely unacceptable IMO.

14. Don't theaters pay a flat fee for the right to show the movie?
I am not positive about this, but I thought they just pay a one-time fee for the number of days they are going to show the film, and don't pay based on the number of people that buy tickets.

37. No, the studio gets paid per ticket
At the theater I'm familiar with, the theater just gets a (small) piece of the ticket sales. They make their money from concession stand sales, not ticket sales.

They were all very grateful for the warning. Especially the last woman I spoke with - and she sounded like she'd already been put through the wringer. They all said that they have extra security with a guard posted at the door looking for theatre jumpers.

Mission accomplished!

I see those traditional family values of theft and dishonesty are working their magic again, this time in the movie theaters.

But I agree, some of these people NEED to see the movie.

Others, however, are beyond help or convincing.

31. You should remind them that Shrek is a donkey
so if they go and are forced to see the movie they paid for they may start liking the whole Donkey motif. Or if they do get into F911 they will get to see Bush admitting that "his base" is "elite." Or Bush listening to pet goat stories for 7 minutes. I think they should see it regardless. It doesn't matter how much they think the "hate" Moore -- the clips compiled in F911 are real and they will strain their pointed little heads trying to make peace with many of the clips.

41. A freeper reports---------like the deranged loon he is......
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1160248/posts?page=33#33

DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THEM.

4. The way Satan is said to lie is to mix truth with untruth, thereby confusing his victim. Michael Moore understands this very well. He does implicate Saudi Arabia as an enemy of America, but then goes on to link President Bush to the Saudis and paints the President as an enemy of America as well.

5. I found it curious that before the movie projector was put on, the sound systen was playing songs about Cuba and Havana. It was just sort of freaky.

6. President Bush is portrayed as a bumbling fool who can't think for himself, and is controlled by his presumed puppet masters, the Saudis and the "super-rich elite."

7. People lacking the skill of critical thought, who go to the movies and believe everything they see, are going to view President Bush as the anti-Christ by the end of the film.

To sum up, it was UGLY.

Actually, I hope he's right in a way. I hope all those with poor critical thinking skills WILL go to the movie and just BELIEVE. Then Bush will be toast made in his own toaster.
