Stupid Repug Stole my Kerry Lawn Sign
Do they really think that will change anything?

I came home today from work and noticed my Kerry Sign was missing from the front lawn. I just laughed.

What an idiotic brownshirt tactic.

Only proves they are desperate and their chimpy-boy is gonna go down in flames.

During the Primary, they stole and or mutilated a few of my Dean signs too, but I just kept putting them back up, and adding one to the inside of the front picture window, bumper stickers, etc.

Stupid idiot freepers repug. (Oops, redunancy...)

Oh, and a big dog tied up near it.

Or, you can just set up a camcorder with a long tape.

When the fucker comes back, call the police.

I'm sure he'll love sitting in jail for a 10-cent lawn sign.

6. Yeah webcams are cheap nowadays.
You can get one for like $20 I think. Pretty easy to look through the footage too - just go halfway and see if it's missing, repeat until you find when it got took!

4. What to have some fun

spend $100 on a web cam, hook it up (spend more for infrared, but
my guess is that this happens in broad daylight). Anyway, capture
the idiot, and send the video to the local news orgs. One of them
will run it (it is illegal to vandalize your property). Laugh
and laugh... especially if the cops get involved and arrest the
idiot.

You know some sites would run that, or at least it would get passed around on P2P.

8. Yes, give footage to media.
That's a good tactic. It's foolish, though. to expect law enforcement to do anything. If anything, why not retaliate on the Bush signs then? I mean, I would never take any from someone's lawn, but I certainly wouldn't hesitate to take then down from a telephone pole or other public place.

30. nothing illegal about removing them from public property..

but about the cops... if a local news crew runs it... the cops
will LOOK like they are doing something, especially if you can
identify the perp.

As for removing campaign signs from telephone poles, at least
where I live, that would be considered public service, since they
are not legal and considered the same as graffiti.

Much better resolution. Not as fuzzy.

And there's plenty of programs out there to transfer video to PC.

31. True... but it could be hours and hours

before the perp shows up... and videotape is so ugly to deal with.
A security cam that does motion detection might work, but now it's
a big expense. A good security web cam will do the trick, and if
it's daylight, the image will be good enough.

Plus its a set it and forget it deal.

And easy to see what happens.

23. Careful !!!!

I know it's a joke, but your coming pretty close to enciting violence. We're supposed to be peaceloving folk. Blowing someone up over a sign is NOT self defense. Nor is cutting up their hands with razor blades.

However, a STINK BOMB would be appropriate. That or a paint bomb.

12. Just replace it.
As often as necessary.

Our anti-war and Howard Dean signs were occasionally vandalized or stolen, and we simply put up new ones. And two years ago our Dennis Moore (Democratic Congressmen running for re-election in the 3rd District in Kansas) signs were stolen and we simply replaced them. They weren't stolen again.

DO NOT BE INTIMIDATED

13. I'm doing signage for the Canadian election
I think I finally outlasted them. My last batch of signs have been up for 24 hours with only 4 (as of this morning) out of 300 or so damaged.

I forget the Greek myth, but what I would do is if they broke one, I'd replace it. If they broke two, I'd put three up and it kinda when logarithmically from there.

Yes, I will get a lawn sign, and a window sign too. If they steal that one, I'll get two more, thwen three more, etc.

and I'll add local candidates too.

I live in a mostly Repug neighborhood (I would think, but can't prove that). I have the only lawn sign in the 250 house neighborhood.

I am also Neighborhood Association president. Maybe I'll put a little blurb in the newsletter, non-partisan, of course...

Replace it with two. If he steals that one, replace it with THREE.

Deep down, those fuckers are lazy. They'll stop after a while.

If not, start putting them in THEIR LAWN!!!

Either that, or get yourself a nightvision camcorder. Also get yourself an IR floodlight and install it where your floods normally go. Then set the camera up and catch the perp. Turn the evidence into police for vandalism charges.

24. Motion Activated Sprinkler for Deer
I have a gardening catalog that advertises a motion activated contraption called a Scarecrow that turns on a 3-second, pulsating blast of water when activated. It sprays up to 45 feet every 7 seconds as long as there is motion detected. It
s supposed to repel animals, but i think it might work pretty good on a freeper. The catalog is from Charley's Greenhouse and Garden, you can order one from their website.
