Just Received This Email From Kerry's Campaign (Re Ad On Bush Web Site)

Dear XXX,

Yesterday, the Bush-Cheney campaign, losing any last sense of decency, placed a disgusting ad called "The Faces of John Kerry's Democratic Party" as the main feature on its website. Bizarrely, and without explanation, the ad places Adolf Hitler among those faces.

The Bush-Cheney campaign must pull this ad off of its website. The use of Adolf Hitler by any campaign, politician or party is simply wrong.

We sent you a fundraising plea earlier this morning. But when this came up, we decided it was important to show you just what we're up against: a presidential campaign that is willing to do or say absolutely anything to win. You're our only line of defense against these underhanded tactics. Please contribute today:

https://contribute.johnkerry.com

If he were a real leader, George Bush would be talking about his first-term accomplishments -- and his second-term vision for America. But he has cast aside that opportunity because he has nothing to offer except a string of broken promises and a steady stream of fear and deception.

John Kerry is talking to this country about his optimistic vision for a stronger America. By contributing, you're giving him the resources to get that vision to millions more Americans every week.

3. Now I'm insulted! Bush is following in Hitler's footsteps. He is
mini- Hitler. To compare Kerry to Hitler is wrong when Bush is doing such a good job of it himself. Actually, the only good job of his administration.

And remember when the repubs were so upset over everyone else who compared Bush to Hitler? What hypocrites.

4. Wait, didn't the Bush/Cheney Repukes sh*t bricks over the MoveOn.org
..."Bush in 30 seconds" ad contest in which one of the 1000's of submissions included a movie that showed Bush and Hitler in relation to one another?

Now these hypocritical shits are actually putting an ad on their website placing Kerry with Hitler?

MoveOn never made that ad clip, it was submitted by a contestant...they never played it, it was the Faux News's etc. that did and made a case about it. This is hugely different - this is the actual Bush/Cheney folks endorsing such and putting it on their website....

Lying sacks of Sh*t Mofos...the real Nazi's are the fascist scum in the White House...

:grr:

5. The ad is taking parts of moveon.org's ad.
Why is everyone so appalled? Their ad, trashy as it is, and inaccurate as it is, is in part the moveon.org Hitler ad of several months ago. Remember? It won best ad and was posted on their website and got some play on TV.

The main difference between the two, that I see, is that moveon.org's ad was more accurate (of course I would think that, right?), and it wasn't put on a site for the DNC or johnkerry.com. It was done by a non-related organization, purportedly on behalf of the Dems.

8. The Hitler ad was rejected from Moveon.org's contest.
It didn't win. Salon.com had a bit on it in their War Room today (http://www.salon.com/politics/war_room/index.html). Here's a snippet:

"The ad begins with a clip of Al Gore denouncing the Bush administration in his rousing speech at NYU a few weeks back, but then Hitler pops onto the screen. The words 'Sponsored by MoveOn.org' show up a few frames later -- it's an ad submitted to MoveOn's Bush in 30 Seconds campaign from earlier this year. Did this ad submission using Hitler imagery really represent the views of 'John Kerry's Democratic Party'? Of course not. The ad was submitted by individuals not associated with John Kerry's campaign to the MoveOn contest -- and ultimately rejected."

What everyone's objecting to, I think, is that Bush/Cheney is taking an ad that was in no way endorsed by Kerry OR Moveon.org and making it look as if it was endorsed by one or both, and what else can you expect from those crazy wild-eyed liberals. I don't think it'll work, though. I agree with whoever posted that it'll do Bush more harm than good.

6. They must be aware that the Hitler shot was from a Moveon ad
"Bizarrely, and without explanation, the ad places Adolf Hitler among those faces."
It was a cut from the moveon ad that they inserted in their ad to make their point that the Democrats were off the deep end (wild eyed)and it in turn showed them to be the ones off the deep end. I have ahunch it will come back and bite them in the ass.
