Wes Clark On Hardball
Will violence diminish if we get Zarqawi?

It would help but not stop violence.

No, he has chain of command & outside supp;ort also increasingly coordinated capabilities to strike.

Handing over Falluja a mistake?

Yes, we had enemy located but lacked troop #'s and WILL to take casualties.

If you're going to use forcem must be tactically decisive.

U.S. essentially seen as surrendering. Gave encouragement to insurgents.

We will have to go in eventually.

Worth risk to prevent regional militia undercutting interim govt.and it's legitamacy

1. He's doing great
Knocking down the "evidence" Chimpy used to go to war. Says even if new document is true, it irrelevant because the grounds they used were false.

Chimpy and the Plame scandal "at an enormous time of stress and challenge"

VP same answer as usual. Wants to let people see fallacies of the administration.

Says Cheney's outburst is about the failings of the administration. They picked Chalabi and now they have the stress as a consequence (paraphrase)

4. Ditto
Clark made great points about the congress not doing it's job and not investigating this administration. Also gave many examples of how Bush didn't bring honer and dignity back to the white house, as he promised.

5. Does Election Hinge On Iraq?
No, whether the American people trust Bush as a competent leader to get us through this difficult time.

He didn't tell truth about Iraq/Al Qaeda, faulty strategy in going to war

His Admin gave Chalabi code which was leaked
Plame leak

Falacies and Failures of Bush Administration

Cheney/Leahy flap- U.S. is under one party rule. Failing to due its duty investigating. Seperation of powers.
Bush was counting on success in Iraq. Now they're under pressure.

Prez said he'd bring honor & dignity to WH. Being extremely vindictive to enemies doesn't bring honor.
