HOT MUST READ: IllinoisLeader.com plans to sue for Kerry divorce records!
Obviously there are those in Illinois who are very upset about the fall of Jack Ryan. . .so they are fighting back, by going after John Kerry. I guess this is war.

IllinoisLeader.com plans to sue for Kerry divorce records

Friday, June 25, 2004

By The Leader-Chicago Bureau

CHICAGO - This afternoon, Leader Media President Dan Proft announced that IllinoisLeader.com plans to file suit to obtain Massachusetts' Senator John Kerry's, the presumptive Democrat nominee for President, sealed divorce records from his first marriage to Julia Thorne which was later annulled.

"The Chicago Tribune and a Los Angeles Family Court judge have established a new standard for the release of marital and custodial documents," said Proft referring to the recent Jack Ryan decision. "Okay, then everyone in the public arena needs to be held to that standard. John Kerry is the start, but there will be others we will seek to hold to this new standard."

4. Massachusetts is a no-fault state
Won't be anything in there except "irretrievable breakdown" or "irreconcilable differences". Only thing will be division of assets and custody/visitation.

7. Are Kerry's records even sealed?
It would be real funny if they sued and they records were not sealed. These guys are just plain idiots.

8. Doubt there's much there. When Kerry was divorced records were much
tamer than the kind of stuff people talk about today. I'd read it was an amicable divorce and as I said, folks back then weren't into dragging gory details out in public. I could be wrong...but it's my sense of that time.
