F-9/11, Dick Clarke, George Bush, & the Saudi Royal family flights...WTF?!
Why in the HELL are the news whores bandying out the fact that Dick Clarke approved the post 9/11 Saudi Flights after the CIA and FBI cleared the family members instead of DEMANDING to know WHO MADE THE REQUEST, MADE THE CALL TO BEGIN WITH REQUESTING THAT THEY BE GIVEN CLEARANCE TO FLY TO BEGIN WITH?

Every news show is using this item as a way to entirely discredit "Fahrenheit 9/11" as playing loose with the facts since it doesn't mention Dick Clarke. Dick Clarke is a footnote in the story, not the headline!

RAW

1. They are doing what they are paid for...
...now we should do our part and make sure people know what's up...

Just another instance of a media that doesn't do its job.

9. Yup. Michal Moore had to do it, because they're not doing their jobs
I don't doubt for a second what BS they'll concoct to try and discredit this.

Hell, they're ALL lucky he didn't use the last 10 minutes of the movie to say, "Folks, the corporate media has been lying to you and they're an accessory to the crimes you saw committed in this movie. Take back your government and take back your free press."

2. If people see the movie they will know that it is the
bushies who are interested in getting their financiers out of the US..not Richard Clarke.

Richard Clarke has claimed responsibility for approving the flights. He did so several weeks ago. It was discussed here in depth at that time. Here's a link:

6. Dick Clarke approved the flights...

After the CIA and FBI did a nominal debreifing of the Saudi Royal family members which was their job.

He did not REQUEST THEM.

I ask WHO INITIATED THIS SPECIAL REQUEST TO BEGIN WITH AND WHY? That's what "Fahrenheit 9/11" is revealing!

7. Clarke....
did not have the power to allow those flights...that came from Bush's FBI.....Clarke should take some blame because he should have stood up and said we cannot allow these flights...he went along with Bush's FBI orders....

4. Richard Clarke
I haven't heard him referred to as Dick Clarke, as it muddies up the mental waters.

5. I could not agree with you more.....
it was not Clarke who made the calls to allow the saudi to fly...he got the okay from the FBI....the question for the so-called liberal media should be....who gave the FBI the instructions to permit the saudi flights during the flying ban after 911? Clarke was simply taking orders and if I am correct in Clarke's book he questions the wisdom of allowing this to happen before having a chance to question these people...ONCE AGAIN THE MEDIA IS MISSING THE POINT...shame on them!

10. They're missing the point on purpose -- double daffy shame on them!
If they were just incompetent or stupid, I could perhaps manage an even mix of shame and pity. Unfortunately, they know exactly what they're doing, and getting their lockstep talking points straight from GOP Damage Control faxes. Only pure shame will do for the travesty that once was a mighty free press.
