A question for F-911 viewers.....
I will be seeing the movie tomorrow night and was wondering if Moore goes into the lies of Bush/Cheney about WMD and Saddam ties to 911...does he explain how Bush lied/exxagerated about the Iraqi threat above and beyond what was in any intelligence report (i.e., unmanned aerial drones, yellow cake from Niger, reconstituted nuclear program, etc...)?

1. Yep
He does. How could he not? You'll enjoy the film a lot, by the way. Have fun, and cheer once for me!

2. He touches on it briefly
But this is definitely not explored in much detail in the movie.

4. That's what I thought....
I was hoping he would because the mainstreem media does not explain this very well either....not even dems can explain the lies of Bush regarding the Iraqi threat...it takes some research/reading to do that and the media long ago stopped doing their job....

3. A bit. He lets the players do the talking. Powell, Wolfowitz, etc.
He shows the clips of the lying liars and the lies they told. He leaves the details out, for the most part.

And he doesn't even touch LIHOP or the length, depth and breadth of the BFEE other than their love affair with the Saudi Royal Family.

Is that too much spoilers for you?

6. But does he get the point across....
that the players are lying to the American people?

9. The point is well made
Its all neatly packaged - you can't come out of the theatre not strongly wanting our kids home from Iraq and an actual human in the Presidency.

5. The movie isn't so much about Iraq..
..as it is the whole result of the terorist attack. Surely, Iraq is discussed in detail, but Moore also goes into underlying issues, such as how the poor fight and die in the wars and the cult of fear created by the media.

7. Oh Heck Yes...
...thats what the movie was all about - starting with 9/11 - how they used that event to move this country into a war with Iraq and how the media helped them do it.

8. Sort of... it bounces around there for a bit
Moore has the footage of the bushistas going up on stage to announce their "evidence" in no uncertain terms, and how they use it to promote a culture of fear that enables exploitation and compliance. He doesn't go into specific debunks of particular assertions. But you'll find what it does cover to be more than adequate to make the case.

12. Saddam.. Al Quaida.. Saddam.. Al Quaida..
Saddam.. <cut to Cheney> Al Quaida.. Saddam.. Al Quaida..

I thought he did a great job displaying that lie. There was so much information packed in the film that it might be overwhelming for the average viewer, but it'll still get into their heads.
