Why aren't there any bluckbuster pro-war or anti-guncontrol Documentaries?
Or anti-union pro-outsourcing, anti-welfare, anti-abortion or pro-foreign-tax-shelter ones, for that matter?

Oh yeah - the public doesn't support that shit!

Then how come we have a conservative White House, Senate and House thats for all those things?

all those WWII movies and History Channel specials that came out in the past couple of years were recruiting movies.

It wouldn't surprise me if rightwingers decided they need to make documentaries too now.

It's not enough for them to control tv and radio.

7. Interesting point.
First, they'd clearly couldn't produce a documentary, it would need to be stylized fiction.

But you'd be hardpressed in filling a 1 minute narrative focused on positive aspects of what George Bush and the Republicans have accomplished since the SCOTUS elected Dimson 5-4.

16. F911 will take the culture wars to the next step
And now all movies will be openly political or at least most will be.

Every day, the common culture gets stripped away a bit more.

They will respond because they have no choice. And the response will be the horrors unleased in various aspects of our culture by the "left." Perhaps they will make that book Brainwashed into a quasi-documentary and skewer the schools.

14. They do
The right wing definately has their blockbusters, its just that their attention spans require them to be filled with all sorts of action and excitement. They end up with something that is mostly entertainment, and with most of the actual thoughts being lost in the glammor of the big explosions and loud noises.
