Bomb Threat At Nashville F911 Screening?

I can't get any confirmation on this, but there's no other explanation. My wife and I went to the 7:20pm showing at the Regal Green Hills Cinema, and entry into the theater was absolutely uneventful. Tickets were checked on the way in, and that was it.

On the way out of the theatre, I noticed the line for the 10:15pm showing (the response was so phenomenal that they opened up a second theatre for an additional screening). I ran into a friend of mine and chatted with him for a while he was standing on queue. It was then that I noticed the theater employee climb onto the concession stand and inform the people waiting that their bags would be searched for cameras, "literature" and weapons(!).

The only explanation I can think of is that some mouth-breathing "Protest Warrior" phoned in a threat against the theatre. It's positively nauseating how much some right-wingers hate free speech and the free exchange of ideas.

Anyone else experience anything similar?

1. If there were a real bomb threat you'd have been evacuated

Sounds more to me like maybe the owner or manager of that particular theatre is either just paranoid or a freeptard trying to kill the spirit of activism and emotion the movie just seems to wring out of people in buckets. As long as the showing itself wasn't disrupted, I say screw 'em.
