Poll question: Has your opinion of soon-to-be President Kerry changed?
Has your opinion of soon-to-be President Kerry changed since all the other contenders fell by the wayside?

4. His explanation, given repeatedly...
was that he voted to give the president authority to use the threat of force, but that he expected bush to go to the congress and the UN again before any military action.

Not that I'm endorsing that explanation - you can take it or leave it, but it is an explanation, though many might think it feeble.

his IWR vote was unforgivable. He "trusted" the thieving, lying bastards who STOLE THE ELECTION to DO THE RIGHT THING? Please.

10. That was only
one of five variations on the same feeble excuse.

Until he stands up on principle and admits, as John Edwards did early in his own campaign, that he was "deceived" by the administration about the "intelligence" they provided him, and that had he known then what he knows now, he would have voted against that resolution, the Repug bobbleheads will continue to have a field day repeating ad nauseum that he voted for the war (as part of their BS argument that his plans for Iraq are no different than Bush's).

7. Yes.
But sometimes he makes me wonder if he really is the lesser of the two. Who is worse: the one who makes no pretense about being of, by and for the have-mores, or the one who pretends he isn't to steal votes from the have-lesses?

17. Please, get real
I thought there was no difference between repugs and dems once, and then Reagan was re-elected.

GWB is extremely right wing and reactionary. JK is not right wing and reactionary.

GWB is in the back pocket of the saudis and halliburton. JK is not.

JK is not perfect, but at least he is more likely to listen to us that GWB.

I recommend this website to you:

I recommend that you rush out and see F911.

8. other
I haven't given him much thought.

The candidate I am supporting through the end of the convention is Dennis Kucinich.

I have lost some respect for Senator Kerry in the last twenty-four hours though. He was one of the missing 100 when the CBC needed a senator in December 2000.

11. Other:
His views on war and Iraq and his huge support of corporatism, business as usual both are very disturbing to me.

But I'll vote for Kerry...I have no other choice.

Numbnuts voted for the war, no child left behind, and the patriot act... and he defends those votes. My opinion of him has only gone down.

14. I don't know what to think of him yet

We should at least give him a chance, and also lobby him heavily.

If he's going to be another New Deal repealing Dem like Clinton, then we truly don't have two parties any longer.

Kerry has a great record and is running a solid campaign. However, the Democrats have been AWOL over the last four years and that includes Kerry.

While I have my doubts, when the GOP runs a wild candidate like David Duke, our first responsibility to defeat it, even if we have to run Lieberman or someone's pet rock.

20. Still don't like him, but Bush must lose.
Since, at this point, Kerry is the only guy that can do it, he has my vote.
