France declared war on Germany on September 3, 1939 following the German invasion of Poland. The French didn't go along with Bush's war of occupation in Iraq, because they know better than anyone else when something smells Vichy! The Germans didn't either, because they'd been there done that!

2. I disagree,

There will be a great backlash after 6/30. The resistance you describe is puny. The resistance in Iraq will be widespread and deadly. There are at least 300,000 men with military training and they have weapons. They will send the signal that those that occupy are in danger.
The next weeks will not be very good.

3. No, I agree!

The resistance in France was so strong that, the Germans were never able to completely contain it! The Germans just kept getting tougher in France, but so did the resistance!

4. We will have to see.

I think the Iraqis will kick us out very soon. The French never could do that. The French always thought they should rule others. In the end it never worked. It was a certain justice that the Nazis humbled them but they never learned. They got their ass kicked in Indo-China and Algeria despite their use of criminals in the Foreign Legion and other despicable nonsense.
We need to learn these lessons. The French and the Germans have,what's wrong with us?
