MOOSIC -- "Fahrenheit 9/11" caused the temperatures of several viewers to elevate Friday as they walked out of the Cinemark theater after viewing the film on its opening night.
The movie, a liberal documentary by Oscar-winning director Michael Moore, is critical of the Bush administration's handling of the time following the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks and recent military efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Its theme struck a nerve with some local residents.
"It was a totally unjust war. And we had no business going there to begin with and we have no business being there now," said 71-year-old Fred Griffin, of Dunmore. "The message is there and it is very clear and it is very true. I just hope people go and remember it when the November (elections) come."
Some said the movie reinforced their beliefs about the war with Iraq.
