Bush behaves like an ASS in Ireland and CNN/MSNRC cut it off!
Edited on Sat Jun-26-04 08:43 AM by KoKo01
I'm listening to the reporters question the Heads of EU, and Ireland and the Chimp. Chimp is making an ass out of himself throughout with cynical jokes and putting down the press as usual and a reporter asks if the summit has addressed the Prison Torture issue because many protestors have concerns about the situation in the prisons. Bush starts into his rape rooms, killings rant (which we've heard many times) but then says "We wish there had been an International investigation of Saddam's killings..." (I'm thinking: Excuse Me, the UN was dealing with Saddams situation and had sanctions on him) but the idiot keeps blathering and posturing like a bully and the screen goes BLANK! I switch to MSNBC and they say "We lost our feed."

Oh come on! They pulled the plug because he was behaving like a boorish ass! Disgusting. He's a fool and we aren't even allowed to see it!

BTW: When a transcript is available it will be worth the read. He's coming apart and is twitchy and belligerant. He also slipped and said "if Saddam had tortured...uh Saddam tortured.." but you need to see the transcript to see how it was said. It sounded as if he wasn't sure Saddam had tortured...:eyes:

1. I think they did lose the feed
MSNBC had it back within a few seconds = before CNN did.

4. I kept it on and they didn't continue the press conference, though. I
checked them both back and forth before giving up and posting.

2. Then again, they might have really lost the feed.
With regard to:

"We wish there had been an International investigation of Saddam's killings."

His father was President when Saddam gassed the Kurds, and did nothing.

13. Don't ya just love it when his head turns red?
I got tired of his same old bushit* and focused on his appearance. Head turned red more than once, eyes narrowed and then he starts with the large arm gestures.

Is it just me or does he seem to be showing more signs of coming unglued?

23. I keep waiting for his head to start spinning around like Linda Blair...
...in the "Exorcist". Maybe his chair rising off the ground along with a nice power-stream of green vomit would be a nice touch.

disorder. Over the past few days, I've done google searches and still haven't found what it could be.

18. Here's his problem
George Bush is a recovering alcoholic and cocaine abuser I'm told. But he is not treating it. His approach is "I've turned to Jesus, and my difficulties have been taken away." A recovering alcoholic who does not go to meetings and do the AA thing is basically not drinking based on will power and it doesn't work. Your mind starts to go. I don't know if there's research along these lines but I'll bet this is what it is. I could just see him in that FLa. classroom. He looks awful thirsty to me.

21. Excuse me but you are incorrect
What you have made is a blanket statement regarding the treatment of alcoholism and drug abuse. I have seen many examples of people who are recovering alcoholics and drug users that never attend any AA meetings. The important thing is to find something that works for you, and stick with it. Some use AA, some use exercise, some use God.
You have to understand the things that make you drink or use drugs.

22. You're right
I did make a blanket statement but it was based somewhat on my experience as a recovering alcoholic. I've seen a lot of people decide they can stay sober on God alone, some of them have gone back to drinking. But I don't have the feeling that King George has worked through anything. I'd say he's white-knuckling it.

26. It goes beyond that - in 1994
he could speak coherently - his was focused - his head did not bob up and down like a pigeon when he spoke. He was still an asshole, but could still speak quickly and pronounce words. I look at his father - who I think for some time now has had some problems - he cries at the drop of a hat - a truly maudlin individual. Something is wrong. Huntingtons doesn't really fit - it's something else.

used a lot recently here on DU, and in other websites I visit. There is info about it here:

25. His arrogant, superior attitude toward newspeople sickens me --
It reminds me of a recent Maureen Dowd column, in which she said that the Bushes put people in two categories, peers and "the help." It is so obvious that this pitiful excuse for a man considers press (even as our American press fawns over him) as "help," and treats them the same as upper-class people with no real class treat domestic employees.
