MSNBC Repeating, repeating Monica's interview with the British tabloid...
I am kind of sorry for her... but she needs to believe it was a love affair. It is a matter of self-esteem.

1. "she needs to believe it was a love affair"
Ahhh, I love it when somebody boils something down to its essence.

:toast:

7. Aw come on..she was a young kid...
I feel sorry for the way she was treated by EVERYONE. Look, for whatever reason Clinton did lead her on. He even gave her stuff...that's not something you usually do for a girl simply "servicing you"....unless you've dropped her a $50.

11. A young kid? BS, at 22, I was a Staff Sergeant responsible for 14 troops
Plus, I would have a lot more sympathy if she wouldn't have kept a cum-stained dress FOR 2 FUCKING YEARS.

13. Yes...these days 22 is still very young...
...there's an extended childhood, precisely because we've put off making 18 year olds responsible enough to know when to choose to drink etc. I couldn't care less about how long she kept the dress....and you know the Clinton folks would have used a nuts and sluts defense if she hadn't. The fact she told everyone and their mother about this affair, speaks to her immaturity.
I really don't want to rehash this whole thing...she was young and an intern...at any of the companies I've worked for, if it came out the "boss" would be let go.

14. I'm not much older than her...your point falls short for me
I am 9 years older than Monica. When I was 15, I knew better than to go around fucking married folks.

"I couldn't care less about how long she kept the dress"

Yeah, I figured. It matters to me because it signals that she had an agenda.

2. What did she plan to get from an affair
with a man married to one of the most brilliant women around? Did she actually think she had a chance?

15. Same here - her timing is interesting, though
I wonder if someone offered her big bucks to speak up now as a distraction. You know all the Clinton haters are salivating over this garbage.

I was sick of hearing about it when it happened and I don't want to hear anymore about it now. Sad all around. They both need to take responsibility for their part in it, grow up and move on to bigger and better things.

4. sorry, i don't feel sorry for her
i don't like how she was treated by starr's people and all that but i don't care about her whining about clinton now. she knew he was a married man. i know clinton is at fault for what he did. but i'm not talking about fault for what they did. but rather her complaining that clinton doesn't see it the same as her. i felt this way when all this happened in 1998 when i was 19 and feel the exact same way now. i never saw her as a victim and still don't. i got tired of hearing the crap about how she was so young and i still get tired of it.

5. and she made a lot of money from it
she made a lot of money telling of her "experience". which i never had any problem with and still don't. it's not as if she was so hurt she couldn't talk about it and tried to focus on something else.

6. MSNBC--when things are not
going well for Shrub, they bring out the old "Bash Clinton" again. They can always rely on that. It's funny that when we protested the 2000 election, the Repubs told us to "get over it." I wish they would take their own advice.

8. I read where she was paid $100,000 for the interview
Edited on Sat Jun-26-04 10:14 AM by kskiska
and the network wouldn't refute that. Also, that Gennifer Flowers was approached for an interview, but she wouldn't do it unless she was paid.

9. Make no mistake, she was a GOP operative
They recruited her to bring Clinton down. I have no doubt Linda Tripp was her case officer!

10. Actually, I don't think so. Her brain was (and is?) full of self-delusions
and she trusted Linda Tripp. Linda Tripp and the Lucianne Goldberg person were the ones entrapping her and creating the whole mess.

12. Bullshit, she was a Publickan operative
sent in by Linda Tripp to seduce The President, all set up by long term dirty tricks operative Lucianne Goldberg. They are all treasonous agents of the fascist overthrow of America and should be dealt with as the criminals they are.

Monica is a sold out whore who is undeserving of any compassion.
