Bush's Kerry/Hitler ad rocks
Edited on Sat Jun-26-04 03:17 PM by wtmusic
I don't get it.

Just watched Bush's ad showing the Move.org Kerry footage, which is supposed to make me want to vote for him:

http://www.georgewbush.com/

Opening card: "The Coalition of the Wild-Eyed"(?-- whoever thought of that should be fired for incompetence).

Then we're treated to a "best of Democratic speeches" montage including the climax of Al Gore's speech in NY as well as some powerful footage from Dean and Michael Moore, followed by another card which reads, "This is no time for pessimism and rage. It's a time for optimism, leadership, and steady progress", accompanied by sappy music on a cheap digital piano (the moral: don't be mad. Mad people are crazy. Just believe, pray, and things will get better).

Sorry, but I'm praying they keep that ad up there. IMO it's the best ad for Kerry we could hope for. But maybe I am crazy, like they say...

1. I think you're right
It only hurts them and gets some of our points across.

2. I've been saying the same thing
This ad is the greatest piece of propaganda that makes RINOs weep as to how stupid their party can be, and it completely reeks of lies and hypocracy and only a fargone right winger would actually believe that this ad speaks any truth.

And the best part is we paid not one cent for this great spot.

Thank you Karl Rove.

7. Is that an ad for Bush or Kerry?
Another effective use of Bush's 200 million dollar warchest. I hope they didn't spend too much on that one. The incompetance of his campaign is astounding and at the same time reassuring. If this is the best Bushco can come up with, we should win in a landslide come November. Bush proves that if you don't have anything positive to say about yourself...go negative. Pathetic miserable failure.

3. Yes, I agree. I saw Gore, Gephardt, and Dean, as well as MM giving
great passionate speeches. Hammering in how bad Bush's policies are.

And then Hitler morphing into Bush. A lot of people don't even know that that Hitler ad was on moveon.org for a short while as part of a contest. They pulled it and never used it.

So, people are seeing passionate Democrats talking about how Bush failed, Hitler morphing into Bush, and at the end a wimpy Bush, essentially asking people not to listen to all those Democrats and to vote for him...

THANKS, BUSH-TEAM, FOR THE GREAT PRO-KERRY AD! :kick:

4. And, really, what Bush's Coalition of the Rabid?
Ann, Rush, Savage Weiner, Hannity, O'Reilly et al?

I mean, do they really want to go down this road, saying that those damn Demoncrats are nuts?

6. Somebody needs to explain to these morons that Hitler was

an extreme RIGHT-WING NATIONALIST. I recently finished rereading Mein Kampf and it is shocking how many ideas are very similar to what is being spouted by neocons today. For example Rush recently said that a war every 20 years is good for us. Hitler glorifies war over and over. The German, Treische(spelling),a generation before Hitler, called for a war every so often to keep the nation strong. We had better wake up and realize who really mimics Hitler.
Michael Savidge claims that we supported wrong side in Bosnia and that the massacres never happened and that we should not hesitate in massacring Muslims.

8. I like the clever touch in that ad
First, they complain about a few Liberal supporters comparing George W. Bush to Hitler.

Then they show Bush throwing two Hitler salutes. Hmmm...

11. Go figure
That was MoveOn's touch, and someone at Bushco decided it was so brazen that it would have to backfire. They need to work on risk assessment...

10. I found the ad inspiring-for Democrats!
I can't believe the Repukes are so stupid to think that any thinking American would say that was being 'wild-eyed'. Oh. I forgot. They aren't catering to anyone who thinks.
