1. It's up against Spiderman next week.
That's tough, but hopefully if goes to 3000 theaters next week.

2. It will be interesting
if it is ever shown in Springfield, MO, Ashcroft's home town. The closest theater for me is in Fayetteville AR.

3. Welcome to DU
:hi:

I'd really love for this movie to be bigger than The Passion. So far, I've seen it reported that for the number of theatres that are showing it, it's doing better, but I hope that it does better in a straight comparison. Just numbers of people seeing it.

5. It's tripling the # of theatres next week? Holy Moses.
I saw it this morning in Texas (Bush country)! The theatres are selling out. The first showing this morning was only about 1/4 full, but the line for the next showing was out the door. This is Bush country, mind you!

My comment on the movie? Oh.......my........God.

It was life altering for me. I will never view politics or our leaders in the same way. And the media....same thing.

I laughed. I cried. I tried to hide my feelings, since I was with a small group. But I couldn't help it. A sob broke out at one point.

It is a must see for all, no matter their politics. Bush supporters ought to be made to see it, even if they have to be strapped into their seats. It's not a balanced view. Moore makes no bones about the fact that this is his view. But the facts are accurate, and it is a work of art, to boot.

I've never seen anything like it. On the big screen, it makes a huge impact. I loved it!

10. Of COURSE it's not a balanced view
The other side of this "view" is all lies. I for one am freakin' sick of the lies. So sick. Obviously, so are a lot of other folks!

Great report, thanks!!

6. God Damn!
Made 1.5 million more than the next film and it's playing on a third of the theaters! That's pretty phenomenal.

8. Yes! It WILL break all records...mark my words. It will break records but
Whore Media will delve down in to their dirty tricks bags and spin and spin just as some of them are right now in postings by DU'ers here on P#1. They will throw everthing they have at trashing this just like they manipulate everything including our economic numbers but it won't matter. Folks will still see the movie and for that I will be happy...because it gives us more publicity for OUR CAUSE.

the same take as I have on it..That it's a damn good thing Michael Moore made this film otherwise the mainstream would just only have to swallow more of the abc, cbs, nbc, cnn, msrnc, faux, versions of bushwah.
