Mike Moore, you've changed my life.
I voted for Ronald Reagan in 1984. I was young, I was a Marine, I needed the money. I know that's not an excuse, I'm just saying. I apologize.

Four years later, I was homeless and jobless and hopeless. My life was saved by caring, progressive thinkers. The lessons they taught me have never left me.

In the 16 years since then, I've done pretty well for myself. Made some money, bought some stuff, contributed to the economy... and I always considered myself a Liberal, a Progressive.

I was neither. I was a stooge.

Mike, I have been reading your books, reading the books of Phillips, Franken, Goodman, Ivins, and all of Shrub's disaffected former minions. I thought I was ready for the next election.

I was wrong.

Mike, you taught me more in two hours than I learned on my own in two decades. I am ashamed and disgusted and almost physically ill at what I have done to allow such a state to exist.

I will be attending your National Town Meeting on Monday, and I will work to defeat the occupier of the White House thereafter. After that, I will work to make things right, no matter what person or party is making things wrong.

I will NEVER AGAIN watch or listen to Mainstream Network News. They are bought and paid for by the Powers That Be, and do not have my better interests at heart.

I'm sorry I was so slovenly and slackerish in the past, and I promise to do better in the future.

Thank you.

7. Jokes are good!
If I couldn't laugh, all I'd have left is crying.

I like to make jokes, too. :D

6. So what was it about the film that make it all click?
Just curious, are there certain parts of the film that spoke to you more than others?

As for never again listening to mainstream news, that's your perogative, but now that you know that "liberal left wing media" is anything but, you at least know to watch and listen and most importantly QUESTION. That goes for everyone, all political parties, liberals, conservatives and MOR's. God gave us a brain and he expects us to use it. Take all the information you get, use that brain, form your own opinions and remember that there will probably never be a perfect candidate, but there are certainly some that are more likely to lead our country in a better way than others.

8. There were so many things.
When no black Representative could get a Senator... ONE SENATOR WITH BALLS... to agree to allow debate during the Certification, I remembered that there ARE NO BLACK SENATORS IN MY COUNTRY. I turned to my buddy and mentioned this, and he asked if there had EVER been a black Senator in my country... I had to REMIND this good liberal that Carol Mosely Braun served us all well and truly, and outshone every candidate we were offered, when she she was still running for President and allowed to participate in the debate. Now she is effectively silenced, and we have no one of her eloquence speaking. I am ashamed of my country, which does not find one black person worthy of my Senate. I am ashamed of my Senate, which consists of 100 persons who want no debate on the single most important issue ever to confront them.

I have more examples I will post, but I want to keep these short.

12. But, there will be, and soon, I hope!
Please, help all you can, maybe someday we'll have a person of color in the WH.

Maybe someday, we will all be color blind....

13. Good damn post
I emailed Mike Moore at 3 am yesterday, I couldn't sleep after having seen the film. I thanked him and asked God to bless him.

We need more people like him.

14. I see no need for you to apologize, King.
We all here have been hoodwinked at one point or another. I could have voted for JFK, but I was too busy with my life to even pay attention til 2000/GWB. (Lord, did I just say that?) Now, that calls for a apology. The light is beginning to show through to a multitude of those who just don't give a damn and those that were just misguided.
