It continues to amaze me that the RW and the Freepers continue to pull this "If you hate Bush, you hate America" crap. In none of Michael's films does he ever say that he hates America, and in fact in numerous interviews says he probably loves this country more than most other Americans, and I'm inclined to agree with him: Because of his efforts to expose the assh*les who are creating or defending policies, the existence of which does nothing more than line their pockets while getting Americans (and a host of other nationalities) killed, he is striving to make America a better place, and this reality will never be understood by the right-wing pukes who are deaf and blind to any faults of their "leaders."
What I did find interesting was that in the trailers for his film, Wilson used the clips showing Penn Gillette saying that documentaries are almost always lies because there is always going to be editing involved, but I'm sure he was using that as a way of pointing a finger at Michael Moore and saying, "See? Penn Gillette says Moore lies also." At the same time, however, Wilson is too stupid to realize that it makes his anti-Moore film suspect as well.
It's funny this whole issue came up (about a counter argument to Moore's film), because I got into the exact same discussion with a RW buddy of mine, and I said the same thing to him: "There is nothing that says the RW can't make a film also. If there is a positive message in this whole mess, they are more than free to make a film about it and show it." At that point, though, he got really quiet, because I suspect that he couldn't think of anything positive to say about the Iraq situation, and he's smart enough to know that any RW film would essentially be about trying to discredit Moore personally, because his facts are too tight to dick with.
