1. It's been said the internet is more used by liberals...

We'll know in 2 weeks if F911 is successful or not.

Spidey, if it lives up the hype, will put a damper on things, do not forget that the people prefer mindless slop with no message... (which is okay once in a while, but not all the time!!)

I love some of the peoples's parochial responses; they're all narrow-minded twits.

And while Moore can currently speak up and loud and not get imprisoned (of course, people with money never seem to go to jail, duh)... Patriot II would gladly take care of that, so the #1 post where the freeper disses Moore will soon have egg on his face, when * declares martial law.

2. That is hardly fair. People go to the movies to be entertained. The
fact that Michael Moore's documentary is doing so well so far is a testament to the fact that people will go to the theatre to see something serious if it is well presented and meaningful to them.

Besides which, theatres rarely show documentaries, educational, or ture stories anyway.

3. "Life isn't fair." "Life is also what we make of it, so why do we merely
romanticize the way we want it to be?"

Two quotes I've figured out during my existence on this paltry planet.

We won't know the effects of F911 for a couple weeks. That is when we should other be thankful or be worried, at least about the election. As I've said before, I give Moore serious cred for putting his life in jeopardy by doing this. Just as long as he doesn't put in too many, um, embellishments.

"A Beautiful Mind" was also filled with half-truths and omissions and people bought into how it was presented on screen as being THE truth. This is DANGEROUS. People also need to read up on things they see. But that's a rambling...

Michael Moore's documentary is, INITIALLY, doing well because he got big awards for his last one (which had a few embellishments added). People remember the big stars. After a while, people TURN on the big stars, and the more the celeb does something wrong, the more the people will turn against him. So Moore had better be 100% factual in the future or else the people will turn against him and cripple our cause. Imagine that, Moore is the next Nader. O8)

Also, other movies started out really well and died off after 1 week because it was hyped. F911 was hyped. Spider-man 2 has been very hyped, but we all know Spidey's going to take away some viewers, at least initially...

We are being way too premature in saying F911 is successful. We need to wait a couple of weeks, I've said that too.

4. "Life isn't fair." Perhaps not. But that doesn't mean that I can't make
an effort to be fair myself. Or to point out when others are being unfair. Or that you can't make an effort to be fair also.

Also, other movies started out really well and died off after 1 week because it was hyped. F911 was hyped. Spider-man 2 has been very hyped, but we all know Spidey's going to take away some viewers, at least initially...

So if everyone who went to see F 9/11 also goes to see Spiderman, then suddenly F 9/11 is no longer valid? Please remember that Spiderman will open on three times the number of screens as did F 9/11. It is doing well and probably will continue to do well. As to whether it can stay number one when other movies will have more screens, well, it doesn't need to. F 9/11 is doing far better than anyone could have expected and will do quite well on video/DVD too.

5. I think the fact that it is playing in such a small number of theaters
will help to give it legs...

I haven't seen it yet, and neither has anyone I know. We're all planning to go see it, but usally we decide to do things on the spur of the moment, and we all know that it's going to be completely sold out unless you buy your tickets hours ahead of time. There are likelly a lot of people who are in the same boat, as well as lots who will see it more than once. If they continue to show it in ~1000 screens, my prediction is that they will be fairly packed for the next few weeks...

6. SpiderMan Wont Stop 911
I agree that Spiderman will slow down the momentum of 911. But I don't think it will stop it. And Im sure we'll see the DVD released prior to the election with some killer bonus footage.
