HaHA! Rethugs upset at Bush golfcourse scene in F 911 ads
It's their whole complaint about the film itself in a nutshell: It's not fair to show the Chimp for what he is.

1. The same thing could be said about Poppy Bush getting all wound up
about the use of Barbara Bush's "Beautiful Mind" remark in the film. Btw, it was not in the film, (but should have been, someone needs to destroy the Babs Bush is America's grandmother myth the whore media has made) so old man Bush was irked about something that didn't even occur. Yeah, they get pissed off when they are shown for what they are, using them to beat themselves up. It is so unfair.

2. That was actual news footage
Maybe they should talk to their chimp in chief and tell him it's not good to talk war while playing golf.

4. Good point, Dani!
(and hi!)

Obviously, "You can't handle the truth!" applies here.

As do Harry Truman's words: "I never did give them hell. I just told the truth, and they thought it was hell."

Those two quotes never get old for me because they speak to our times.

6. Hidy ho! really enjoyed meeting you yesterday at F911
My husband and I were talking about how Bush is like the anti-Truman. For Truman - the buck stopped here. For Bush, there is no lengths he won't go to to pass the buck.

3. best quote from the NYT article

Now that the film is making a ton of money, Moore can afford to increase the television advertisement!

================================================

"I don't think these spots are flattering to Bush," David Axelrod, a Democratic media consultant, said. "But I don't know how swing voters would receive them. These are people who don't disrespect Bush, and they don't even necessarily dislike him."

Either way, Mr. Moore and his representatives said, they were pleased about the latest Republican complaints, because they are feeding their marketing strategy to bill the film as the most controversial of the summer.

"It's just going to send more people into a movie in which George W. Bush stars," Chris Lehane, a spokesman for Mr. Moore, said. "And we're going to have to make sure to send them a holiday card to express our gratitude."

10. Thay won't respect or like him now. Hello fool. these are the people
we want to reach. They already know Bush is a POS in their gut. They just need the proof that our neocon mainstream media won't provide.

5. It's the O'Reilly lawsuit effect all over again...

The most obvious characteristic of the right-wing is their inability to learn from past mistakes. O'Reilly's lawsuit against Al Franken's book had the unintended effect of actually driving sales of the book up, and Franken could not be happier.

It's the same with their protests over Fahrenheit 9/11: the more these Freepers and RW idiots bitch and moan publicly about the film, the more it is going to send people to the theater to see for themselves what the noise is all about.

Because if there is one thing most people have a problem with, it is being told they can't or mustn't do something. Most of us seem to have a bit of the rebel in our hearts.
