I just noticed something is missing here.
Can anyone tell what that could be? Any time there is a big event (911, Iraq, elections for example), something always happens here. I didn't expect this weekend with F911 coming out to be any different.

Still wondering? Freeper attacks. We haven't seen a huge influx of disruptors or any visible attempts to shut down DU. I've been on here all weekend and you would think that something as big as F911 would bring them out of the woodwork like usual, but that hasn't happened.

The silence speaks volumes.

Comments, anyone?

3. I've seen lots of new DUers
who have found this site. They are as concerned as the rest of us about this country. Maybe the tide is finally turning.

4. The fear-mongers are out in force
and now there's whispers of another chem attack soon. Just wait until Tues. things should be really ripe by then with their dire need to distract from the huge success of F9-11.

5. Come to think of it, you're right.
But, I think this time they KNOW they don't have a chance in hell of even being paid one iota of attention. They know that their little boat is sinking. Let them suffer and if we're really lucky a few of the reachable ones will come over to our side.

6. I fear the calm before the storm....
There have been some rumblings of mustard gas being found in Iraq but I understand that the sources are not credible (as if any of the press is credible with this admin, thus our problem). There are also the warnings of terrorist attacks on the internet and/or article about the terrorist use of the internet to further their cause, so our gov may try to shut it down to control terrorism.

Who knows what their next ploy is. I don't think they will crawl back under their rocks, they will try something to regain control.
(IMHO)

9. Explain how they shut down the internet to us and keep it open
for spying on 'terrists'.

10. I am not internet savvy, so I cannot.
But that doesn't mean they won't try something involving the internet. Their spying on terrorist is not as important as control of information. They have control of the press and if they see that we are using the internet to get the facts out, then they will try to control it too. (imho)

8. Caught a little of FOX
Spilled nuclear juice on new Iran airport runway - closed since May, don't know how to clean it up, material was going to North Korea. Mentioned Syria as well and our ship build up off Saudia Arabia and well off-shore in the Pacific, getting ready for a new blockade...or? ....looks like they want to do a three or four in one....can't be a boots on - don't have enough college and career seeking kids to die on the ground or lose their legs and minds.

12. The biggest problem for the disruptors is, almost all have no intention of
seeing the movie. Thus their disruption is inhibited by the fact that their lack of knowledge will be immediately apparent after the first post or two. So they are mostly laying off. But I suspect they will not be able to resist after F911 is the #1 movie of the weekend.

14. There are some freepers
but they're more stealthy. They're posts are somewhat like "I hate Bush as much as anyone, but this movie is obviously a lie."
