Bush's Comments Re: 9/11 vs. Moore Classroom Footage

I'm seeing the move this afternoon, but I take it Bush's quotes about his recollection of his 9/11 reaction don't match up with the actual footage?

"Well, Jordan (ph), you're not going to believe what state I was in when I heard about the terrorist attack. I was in Florida. And my chief of staff, Andy Card -- actually I was in a classroom talking about a reading program that works. And I was sitting outside the classroom waiting to go in, and I saw an airplane hit the tower -- the TV was obviously on, and I use to fly myself, and I said, "There's one terrible pilot." And I said, "It must have been a horrible accident."

But I was whisked off there -- I didn't have much time to think about it, and I was sitting in the classroom, and Andy Card, my chief who was sitting over here walked in and said, "A second plane has hit the tower. America's under attack."

He admits he saw the footage of the first plane hitting and did nothing? Hell, even if it was an accident, he's the damned President. Doing nothing was not an option.

I thought they were trying to spin it that he didn't know anything until Card whispered to him while he was in the class room. Do you have a source for this? I'd love to rub some RW noses in it.

If the cabal was monitoring the action on a closed circuit, they could have seen it.

So, his statements either prove that busholini inc MIHOP, or that busholini jr is a wretched liar. Either way he is the Worst. President. Ever.

People didn't see the first plane hit the North Tower until the next day, when some footage from a film crew came out. They were filming the activities of a typical FDNY fire company nearby - and it was pure dumb luck that they caught on tape the first plane hitting.

(When I say "people" I mean most of us watching on the TV - obviously, those who in the vicinity outside the WTC witnessed that first hit)

The second plane hitting the South Tower - no question there. Nearly everybody saw it - live or on TV.

So for Bush to say he SAW the first plane hit (not merely the aftermath of that hit, but the actual hit itself) is a BALD-FACED LIE.

8. How about on the closed-circuit tv system in his limo....

...on the way to the elementary school? That was certainly located "outside the classroom", wasn't it? He knew about the first plane before he arrived at the elementary school because he was questioned about it by reporters at the school.

That raises a number of questions, doesn't it? For instance, if this were to be determined to be true, how did the NeoCons know to place a camera at the WTC?

Card told him about the second plane at about 9:10am while he was sitting in the classroom. Including the 7 minutes where he sat and did nothing, he did not leave the school for at least another 30 minutes...about 9:40am to 9:45am. At least that's the claim of the official story.

He said he SAW it.

Now, I have to wonder, was he just randomly looking at a channel that just happened to have a camera focused on the WTC that morning, before anything happened and for some unknown reason just happened to be broadcasting that image nationally?

Or is Bush a liar?

that competency tests should be required of presidential candidates. Bush is an ignorant incompetent who has been used by twisted and conniving incompetent power seekers bent on foisting their insane 'ideals' on the entire world playing out their own version of Mein Kampf. Bush doesn't have a clue that he is simply a dupe..dope..ditz..trying to play a power game. Pitiful.

11. The only known footage was taped by a French crew

They were following a crew of Firefighters,two brothers,they lost each other in the chaos that day. Both servived thank god.but that tape was fascinating,they went to the WTC,lost each other and made it back to the firehaus.

there is a second film, made by Czech (?) tourists that caught both planes hitting. it didn't come out until months later though....

12. A simple explanation

He misspoke (as he often does) when he said he "saw" the first plane hit. He probably heard about the first plane before he went into the classroom and said, "aw f**kit, I got a photo-op to git done" and then just went ahead with the scheduled appearance. Card came in to tell him about the second plane, and we all know what happened after that. He made a deep ass print in that chair as he continued to sit in it while the towers burned.
Bush can't speak three sentences without messing up so it doesn't surprise me how he spoke to that kid - it's typical of his speech pattern. I love to wear the tinfoil, but I can't get too worked up about this particular statement. I'm more suspicious of why he sat there clueless while decisions needed to be made and the C-in-C needed to ACT!

13. There was no footage of the first plane shown until late that night--

I remember this well. The French brothers, as described in another post, were filming with firefighters in lower Manhattan. They caught the first plane.

They then went to the Towers, and filmed what became CBS's documentary.

That night, 9/11, I was watching CBS when they first showed the video. I suppose the French brothers left the Towers area and must have gone to CBS directly. It was about 2 a.m. EST. when it was first shown.

Bush is pathological. Either that, or he screwed up the script.
