Poll question: Which of these VP picks would you prefer
If you had to pick one the these seven possible tickets, which one would you pick. Feel free to explain why.

Please note that I did not include Clark or Edwards because I know they would get the most votes.

3. Where is the
Kerry/Hunter S. Thompson ticket. That is the one I want to see. A Dem./Freak Power ticket can't lose.

8. Can't even say which of these 7 you like best
It really is not a knock on Clark, I just wonder were people stand if Edwards and Clark are taken out of the running.

Just find it interesting.

7. He definitely needs to go with a Southerner (sorry Dean, I love ya but..)
to do attract the Southern vote. There are three good choices that fit:
Grahm, Edwards, Clark.

I can't decide which would be best.

10. Don't worry about the south
they aren't going to vote Democratic even if Jesus was the VP choice. Dean will bring in the Nadar votes.

16. If the South is a lost cause then Kerry should....
go with whomever would help attract voters in OH and PA. And I have no
idea who that would be.

How many Nadar voters are there, anyway?

Even tho I pretty much agree with you about the South, I'm not sure.
Edwards is a powerful campaigner, and a true Southerner (got the
accent and everything). Grahm is appealing mostly for his pull in FL.
Clark would likely be attractive to Southerners because of his military
status. He has the aura of a Northern transplant.

13. Why is it that southerners insist on voting for someone from the South...
...but they also insist that Northerners vote for someone from the South all the time? Are they still sore over loosing the civil war or something? Why can't they vote for someone who isn't from their region?

18. Do we even know if this is true?
The last time the Dems ran a ticket without a Southerner was 1984 (Mondale/Ferraro).

It has been 20 years since we tried a ticket without a Southerner on it, so do we really know people of the South will not vote for such a ticket?

11. As I stated in the post
I know that if Clark or Edwards was on the list, they would win (ever VP poll on DU shows this). I'm just interested in seeing what people think of these 7.

It is not a knock against Clark. If anything, I think I'm complimenting him. I know that if he was on here, he would win. That's just where DU is.
