Free of charge.

The brass don't have the balls to accept it however.

5. I read it somewhere online, but don't recall where. If I see it again
I'll let you know. (And it could be that I am recalling it wrong, so take this with a grain of salt.)

2. More interestingly, if the troops saw it, how are they going to react?
There's enough chaos over there as it is. Or is there? What can they do except kill themselves in anguish or hate? (which is a bit extreme, but at least I'm bothering to conjure up suppositions to this idea that MM should send the movie to them...)

4. I bet it will be available in bootleg within a few days....

I was emailing someone in the army over there right after the new Harry Potter had been released in the theaters and he said it (Harry Potter) was already being watched by soldiers in his platoon.

Our soldiers will be watching F911 very soon.

6. I saw it available as a bit torrent link two weeks ago
I didn't download it though because it would inevitably be a camrip from one of the preview showings. Also, I have no immediate desire to see the film since I feel I know everything presented but I'm glad it's out there.

As far as sending it to the troops, officially distributing it I believe would be a violation of the Hatch Act, but then again, so is Rush Limbaugh on Armed Forces Radio IMHO.

10. Bit torrent is a type of peer to peer file sharing
You need a bit torrent program to download the file. I recommend Azureus which you can get here:
http://azureus.sourceforge.net

The file is so small because it basically contains information on where to find the tracker and how the file (or files) are divided up. The bit torrent file is decoded by the client which then downloads the file ro files.

12. Not at all complicated
Once you install the bit torrent client, all you (usually) need to do is click the bit torrent link in your web browser. The client will automatically start and ask where you want to save the file (or files) to. It will initially start out slow, but as you download more and thus have more of the file to share, your download will start to speed up. It's a very effective way of sharing large files without incurring a bandwidth penalty for any one server, since everyone downloading shares in distributing.

I use bit torrent all the time, especially for downloading linux distributions (I tend to test a lot of linux distributions). Also, since I don't have a television I am usually able to get just about anything I want to watch this way. Check out this link:

15. I mentioned Azureus in my previous post
which is what I use and like. However, there are many clients to choose from.

Here's an FAQ
