Police at F9/11
Usually the police are at the theater in the lobby. At F9/11 there were 2 on duty cops inside the theater. That was the first and only time I have seen that. Did anyone else have on duty officers in the theater at the time they saw the movie? I saw the movie at AMC Framingham Massachusetts, not exactlly a freeper hot bed.

1. No, but I'm THRILLED
That means they have to get some "indoctrination" from the movie. Teehee.

2. I've never seen police in any theatre lobby for any film.

Maybe they wanted to see the movie for free. I bet they could identify with the Oregon state policemen talking about how underfunded and understaffed they were to protect their coastline state against "terrists" because of budget cuts.

3. I saw it twice in Revere; not a cop in sight
I think there are more conservatives out by you, but why would you need cops in a Massachusetts theater for a movie like this?

4. Oh yeah that was the first thing we noticed

I saw it in a theater attached to a mall. When my friend and I walked in, we honestly thought something bad had just happened there!

I counted 15 police officers at the entrance and in the theater. They were milling around looking at people.

I know a kid who works at the concession stand and asked him about it. He said there's normally one police officer but they had these extra 14 "just in case because of that bush movie". His words.

On edit: I saw it in the Dallas, Texas area.

8. Not a cop in sight in Denver
Edited on Sun Jun-27-04 09:58 PM by walldude
Actually it's a suburb of Denver but much to my dismay there were no freepers or protesters, no picket lines to cross. I did hear the most hilarious neo-con argument against the movie today. Local radio talk show had a caller who said "That movie is just a rip-off of that other Farenheit thing. You know the old one from the book." The genius host couldn't remember the name of that "other one" either. What they ment was Farenheit 451, obviously neither of them reads and it goes without saying hasn't seen either movie. Desperation is a fun thing when it's the neocons...

7. No cops here. But there was a community church group holding their
regular Sunday morning service at the theater????

And they cut off the film right as the credits started to roll.

9. 2 cops in OKC
But I think they may always be there on Saturday nights. They were standing outside the theater. No political protest or supporters outside though there were many wearing blue (moveon.org's suggestion).

10. Yes. There was a cop at the AMC where we saw it.
I have never seen a cop in this theater before. He was at the exit door and obviously scanning the crowd as we walked out. We just laughed like we did at all the terror terror terror crap in the movie. Poison pen guns indeed!

13. There were two
And believe it or not they were taking tickets. The lady cop had a nice smile and kidded the wife that we may not be able to sit together because of the crowd. Well the place was only half full at the time. Wife wanted to go back and mess with her, jokingly of course. St. Paul, MN.
The place sold out and no disruptions or anything. Somebody cracked a joke when Brittany came on, otherwise everyone watched intently and hardly anyone ever left their seats.:D
