WGN radio discusses F 9/11 at midnight, CST
big station, 50K watts, heard all over the country

and the host argued positively about the movie yesterday with a wingnut ahole on the station, even though he himself LOATHES Moore....mainly cause of his perception of Bowling and his bold display at the Oscars

listen here

http://wgnradio.com/listen/index.htm
need realplayer

or at 720 AM...you should get that on radio, just about anywhere east of the rockies

better yet......CALL in

1-312-591-7200

I was on earlier on another show, refuting the host's reading of the Isikoff column from last week, in which he misstated several points in the movie. he let me stay on for ten minutes, ranting the usual stuff we talk about here. I made the point that one of the most important bits in the movie is how horribly the media have abrogated their responsibility since before the election

several callers also mentioned this

you should listen in, cause the host, Nick di Gilio, is a very good film critic: funny, informed, and will let you know what he thinks about Moore, so you'll see his biases, if anything, lean against him.

I didn't hear him speak to the other WGN guy, so I can't be certain he'll like the film, but he said who he was going to talk to, and that guy LOVES Ollie North, just for starters

so listen in

If I call in, I'll try to mention DU before I get cut off

3. first words: I can't STAND Michael Moore
"while I agree with his politics, I hate his tactics"

calling it a "one sided" smear against Bush....but that doesn
t bother him that much

he says the sheer amount of information in it is amazing.

he says the style is "unforgivable"

too much out of context, designed to make Bush look like an ass

he says he doesn't mind that, again, but he says it isn't FAIR

ripping him for using tactics of opponents, saying such things should be risen above

Edited on Mon Jun-28-04 12:46 AM by buycitgo
talks about the parachute bit with Matt Lauer

he's POd about the lady at the end of the movie.......says he exploits her

says you can "really really really slam Bush without manipulating, etc"

says "I'm on his team, but I don't want him wearing my jersey"

doesn't think that there are that many undecided viewers, that pugs won't like movie

WRONG!

two pugs called his station earlier, and they both LIKED it! didn't change their vote

powerful

manipulative

funny

not a documentary

propaganda

he's torn, but recommends it

"if you're going to make a movie, be fair"

CALL IN!!!!!! I can't, cause I only have one phone line
