4. No fucking way!
I started voting in 1984. I've voted Democratic in every election since then, with the exception of my misguided Nader vote in 2000.

I really detested both Reagan and Bush, although I think I hated Poppy Bush the most.

5. I have never voted for a Republican for president...
I did vote Libertarian for president in 1980, but I've regretted that ever since, I wish I had voted for Carter. The only time I've ever voted for a Republican for anything was in 1976, when I voted for John Danforth the first time he ran for U.S. Senate. Recently, I have voted third party when the Democrats just nominated another Republican. That happened in my U.S. Congress race in 1996 and U.S. Senate in 1998. Now, though, after what happened in 2000 and all the shameless shenanigans Republicans have pulled -- and GOTTEN AWAY with -- for the past three and a half years, I will NEVER again vote for anybody but Democrats. I believe Thom Hartmann is so right when he says on his radio show that we progressives should be infiltrating the Democratic Party and changing it from within, as the Republicans started doing after the 1964 election.
