Sucides/suicide attempts rising
in 2001, aprox 650,000 Americans tried to kill themselves, almost 26,000 succeded.

http://www.suicidology.org/displaycommon.cfm?an=1&subarticlenbr=21

There's more stats there.

Now I am not the suicidal type but for the 1st time ever I thought about killing myself.

Everything in the world around me seems so hopeless, and I see nothing getting better. People want to argue with eachother or yell "look how much money a movie made" with out even looking at the facts that are presented in the film in any other way then that it supports them being "right". People are becoming more and more polarized, but hey at least a movie made millions and the repugs are morons.

I have a shit job that barely keeps me with a roof over my head and were I to lose it i'd be on the streets. I have no friends to move in with, 2 of my friends are off fighting in the B*sh Jihad, and another is in the ground because he died in the jihad. I won't go fight in that shit, and want it stopped and my friends back home. When you speak out about the horrible shit done in the world in our name, often you get called anti american, or a coward. Other times you get told to help change the people making the decisions in our name through votes yet the actual facts about the alternate canidate aren't better then the fuck ups making the decisions now. Wanting to change the system itself is met with little response or being told that it can't be changed. When the means to enact change are there people would rather argue over the means so they can be right, and futrther aid the system.

There's no escape when you can't afford to move, and there's no hope when the times you do try to do the right thing you get hurt for it. Your chances to change the system are taken by PATRIOT acts and election scandals/voting fraud that the system that doesn't want anything to change uses. Instead of trying to fix it people want to argue and look to the system for justice or to fix the problems. People do want to help eachother, and be helped, but it gets to a point where you don't give a shit anymore.

As a reward you can turn on the TV and see what the President has decided you think for you because God told him. It will be told to you while he has that fucking goddamned snide grin on his face. The same grin used to lie about everything. That usually makes it worse, you might get very lucky and get to see a poor man begging for his life, only to die anyway followed by the shit grinner saying that the people who did it are barbarians and need to be killed, and that Americans are outraged by it.

My outrage consists of hearing the guy pleading for his life everytime I close my eyes - a week and a half after I saw it one time.

I see tolerance of one to have a conflicting opinion eroding, and being replaced by belittlement and name calling when faced with a opinon that isn't agreed with.

All the while Jesus is praised and Israelis are called pals cuz jewish while "certain" muslims are the "enemy" because christians decided that their version of Islam (which the jesus pals know nothing about) is evil.

There is no outlet to be heard, a single voice is drowned out by the arguments between B&sh's and not B&sh's.

The disenfranchising continues and is sped if you don't express jesus values or dare to have respect for the life of a innocent kid who got killed because he dared be muslim in the Mid-east you get bashed or ignored for the most part when pointing this out.

Life is now being judged on the religious beliefs of the person. A muslim isnt as worth as much as a shiny white christ pal.

You see everything as hopeless and want to find out if there is indeed a jesus or not. If I feel this way, and I'm not this type, then what happens/happened to those that feel just as bad or worse, or those who mentally couldn't take it anymore?

I can't live this way, and don't see anything getting better or even anything possibly getting better. We all know people who might feel this way - keep an eye on them, tell them you love them. It might make a difference.

Don't let them get to the point of not caring at all. I'm close to that point myself, but I'll deal with it. Some people can't cope though.

Try to enact change because we take it, not because we trust a vote or some guy that has proven untrustworthy wo make things better.

Make love not war. Stop the hate. Please.

1. If Politics Depresses You . . .
If politics depresses you, you should back away from it. Lots of people have no interest at all in politics. There's no shame in being one of them if politics drives you into suicidal depressions.

You might also consider taking anti-depressant medication.
