Washington Post says Bush Doctrine a flop

snip

There's already been a retreat from the radicalism in Bush administration foreign policy," said Walter Russell Mead, a Council on Foreign Relations senior fellow. "You have a feeling that even Bush isn't saying, 'Hey, that was great. Let's do it again.' "

snip

"Neoconservatism has been replaced by neorealism, even within the Bush White House," Kemp said. "The best evidence is the administration's extraordinary recent reliance on Kofi Annan (news - web sites) and Lakhdar Brahimi. The neoconservatives are clearly much less credible than they were a year ago."

1. Neoism has been replaced by neoneoism
Why the hell is the neo in neorealism, or is it just another unnecessary prefix that makes me sound smarter?

3. Realism is Realism... I agree, the neo is pointless
They haven't discovered a New Reality or even a New Way of seeing Reality.

2. "clearly much less credible than they were a year ago"
The neoconservatives are clearly much less credible than they were a year ago.

Being demonstrably wrong will do that, eventually. Problem is, they've been wrong for the last 30 years, and it's only pushed them higher up the totem pole.

4. Also, JHB, Less Credible With Whom?
I never found them, their theories, or the methods credible. They couldn't have gotten any less credible from my POV.

5. WP is "clearly less credible" as well
Since they whored for the invasion of Iraq as much as any neo-con did.
Gee, when are they gonna write a story about THAT?
