Iraq Handover Question
What are the political implications of this?

It seems to me that, from now on, anything that happens in Iraq (most likely, one disaster after another) will not be attributed to the idiocy of the Bush Adminstration. Is this correct?

Is this just a way for the Admin to poltically wash their hands of the sitution before it deteriorates further?

1. It's only symbolic really
other than the fact that NATO has agreed to help with the stabilization of Iraq. The only thing good I see coming out of this is the people denounce the continued attacks by radical Shiites and Baathists and of course we get the hell out of there. Simple as that. Do I think that will happen? No.
