How strong is the right-wing media network ?
And more importantly, how strong do they perceive themselves to be? Do they see themselves at war with the "liberal media"? Do they think they are winning and cannot be defeated?

With talk radio, FOX-TV, and right-wing magazines like Weekly Standard and National Journal, and with almost all of the corporate media, formerly the "liberal media", parroting their propaganda, why shouldn't they feel confident that they are going to win? They rant about "movies" like FH-9/11 but they don't really feel threatened by them. They would prefer to censor them.

Basically, they see the present political struggle as one between competing propaganda systems and they feel pretty good with what they have. Rush Limbaugh and Michael Savage and Sean Hannity are nonstop Republican propaganda. They do something that Dan Rather or no liberal would even dare to do - just be as blatantly partisan as possible and tear down your opponent as "un-American" and traitorous in their actions. "Liberals" would never dare go that far in their little realm of the media.
