Agencies are flying in extra call girls from around the globe to meet the expected demand during the Aug. 30-Sept. 2 gathering at Madison Square Garden.

"We have girls from London, Seattle, California, all coming in for that week," said a madam at a Manhattan escort service. "It's the week everyone wants to work."

One of my many activist hats is being a sexworker's rights activist.

I have had conversations with a number of sexworkers about political conventions, and they all say the same thing;

The GOP convention is great for business; They are desperate for sex, especially kinky tricks, and they have lots of money. In addition, corporate lobbyists often pay the fare for highly placed Republicans.

On the other hand, the Democratic convention is deader than can be for working girls. Democrats bring their wives and girlfriends along and don't look to rent any companionship.
