Oh the irony! haha.

Box office bash for '9/11'

<snip>

Eisner, on the other hand, has to rue that "Fahrenheit 9/11" had a better opening than any of the nine feature films Disney released this year. Only the Olympics hockey movie "Miracle" came anywhere close, with $18.8 million in its first weekend. For that matter, the film outperformed recent Miramax openings except for Quentin Tarantino's "Kill Bill Vol." and "Vol. 2."

According to box office tracking firm Nielsen EDI, the last time a picture playing in fewer than a thousand theaters led the pack was April '94, when "Four Weddings and a Funeral" held the top spot.

5. Bwahahahaha!
I read an article this weekend about how Disney wasn't concerned about the money they've lost by refusing to distribute this. Horse puckey. I hope this haunts them for a long time.

7. Eisner can take solace
Edited on Mon Jun-28-04 02:26 PM by narcjen
knowing he'll be getting a nice, warm Christmas condolence card this year, personally signed by Moore himself and the Lion's Gate crew. Perhaps he can even get a few grand for it on ebay. That should please the shareholders to know. They'll be making something off this film after all, hahaha.
