What is Jesse Jackson up to?

I haven't seen or heard much about Jackson in a long while. I know some years ago he was dealing with the adultery scandal, but anyone know what he's been up to in the past year or so? Has he been closely tied with any of the candidates? Just curious.

There are quite a few political names that haven't been in the news a lot lately. I wonder why they're keeping a low profile.

The Bush administration demurred, said they didn't need the help. Those particular hostages got out alive, fortunately, but sending Jesse in might be worth the effort in the next few cases. Sadly, the Bushies won't even try.

I know many, many, MANY rightwingers down here that need to know Jesse traveled through Appalachia trying to draw attention to poverty concerns. But it helps TPTB to keep us divided if they DON'T show the people that yes, activists (yes *gasp* even Black ones) really *do* care about poor people of all races (down here they think liberals only care about poor minorities). If they knew that, the poor might unite, and they can't have that!
