3. Here's the link plus a little insider info
http://www.boxofficemojo.com/weekend/chart/?yr=2004&wknd=26&p=.htm

What makes this all the more interesting is that the key figure of the site clearly did not like the movie and lambasted it in his review.... The forums are notoriously right-wing there--

Lots of feathers are being choked down as they eat crow.

I will give it too them, however-- they remain true to their cause of giving up-to-date numbers :)

14. Wow, how dishonest is this?"There is not a single frame of the act that is
"There is not a single frame of the act that is the reason for Moore’s movie: passenger planes hijacked by religious fundamentalists crashing into the Twin Towers. But Moore makes sure to display any collateral damage at the hands of Americans. "

See, cause there really wasn't a single frame--the screen was black. I'll bet he was proud of that one.

6. So much for Bradbury's predictive powers
Remember all the threads about how po'd Bradbury was with Moore for stealing his title? He bitterly predicted that nobody would go see the movie.

8. When was the last time Bradbury said anything relevant?
I mean, I like the guy, but that's a cry for help.

9. Bradbury hasn't stolen..er written a readable piece of work in 40
years. He would hardly be someone to gather any zircons of wisdom from at this late date.

11. You mean RAY Bradbury. . .
the plagiarist who steals Walt Whitman's poem titles to stick on his inferior short stories: "I Sing the Body Electric!" and "When Elephants Last in the Dooryard Bloomed"?

(I never get tired of typing that!)

You are correct, sir. It's a brilliant achievement in and of itself.

But tweaking FReepers is SO fun!

While you and I don't measure success by monetary gain, THEY do... so they CANNOT deny the appeal of this film. The fact that they helped MAKE it successful is delicious!
