Question about Nader
I've been looking at colleges in North Carolina this weekend so I haven't been able to watch the news. The Green Party declined to nominate Nader as a candidate? Will he still appear on some states' ballots?

1. Greens dump Nader, but he's on some state ballots.
The Greens went, well, with a Green (Cobb of TX).

Nader has the Reform Party (Perot's old party that Buchanan ran on in 2000) endorsement, which gets him I think 7-10 state ballots. He is also trying to get on ballots as an independent (and getting significant GOP support in this endeavor), with varying degrees of success.

He'll probably end up on more ballots than not.

Hi, I am just responding because you touched on two topics I am an expert on -- Nader and NC!
Nader never even got on the ballot here in 2000, and with his diminished support this time around, I don't think it'll be any different in 2004.
Here's the killer! If you voted for Nader as a write-in in 2000, your vote was THROWN AWAY. That's right ... they don't have to count write-ins in NC, and the DON'T! I learned that the hard way.
There is also NO Green Party in NC. Seriously, I shit you not. If you go to the Green's web site where they have a map of the USA, and click on NC, it comes back with ---aahhh zippo!

3. I wish Nader would just go away!
Don't get me wrong. The Green party is pretty damn cool. They need to stop running for office. They may as well endorse predident Bush because they're taking away democratic votes!
