8. Haven't read this, but I assume an effort to prevent things like execution

of the Marine during the handover ceremony, and efforts to synchronize other violence/chaos with the ceremony. And of course to steal thunder from f911. But it clearly shows the lack of control of Bushco over the situation to "sneak" the ceremony like this. I guess they felt it was the lesser of evils to do it this way.

I'd like to hear what some of the heavy-weights are saying concerning this "hand job," because I am being criticized for make the same point here on DU by some longtime DUers.
