2. i say Bush should sue him then..
.. How much you wanna bet that he won't? Proving libel is hard to do when it's all TRUE...

3. It was incredible
He kept saying--falsely--that Moore had said America is a bad place and then ends the interview by asking whether Moore is unpatriotic! Wow. I think Splotchy is going to have a LONG nose tomorrow from that.

5. O'Reilly should read Hitchens' book calling Mother Teresa a drug dealer.
Edited on Mon Jun-28-04 07:31 PM by MikeG

9. Did he call her a drug dealer?
I'm no fan of Hitchens drivel supporting teh Iraq war - personally I think he called it wrong and his ego wont let him back out - but have no problem with a lot of his other stuff - Kissinger being a war criminal for example.

I was also no fan of Theresa and her views that suffering people didn't need painkillers, her hospices didn't need hygiene or modern equipment(despite her order being loaded) or her association with brutal dictators, however I'm unaware that he referred to her as a drug dealer?

14. I'm know the book
Edited on Mon Jun-28-04 08:53 PM by Djinn
I'm just not sure of your assertion that he calls her a drug dealer in it - it's been a while since I read it - and there were parts I didn't read too fully as it just rehashed stuff that was already known - could you give me a bit more info on what his justification for calling her a drug dealer was or what his general contention there was? Thx

18. are you sure it wasn't an article about rather than by Hitchens
I'm harping on this point I know - but I think if we're going to criticise Hitchen's comments re F 9/11 and Mike Moore because he invents argunments that Moore never made then we should avoid doing the same thing about Hitchens

6. O'Reilly, what does it say if Bush doesn't sue?
Edited on Mon Jun-28-04 07:32 PM by librechik
Does it say he concedes the point? After all, if Michael is lying it is SLANDER! The president must protect himself and his sacred office from slander, doesn't he? Why don't you spend more time this week trying to get Bush to sue Michael? Because I think that would certainly be the right thing to do, if Michael is lying, right?

<I can't wait. PLEEEEEEASE sue Michael, Shrub! PLEEEEEEAse!>

The Saudi/Bush connection was being discussed about 30 minutes in, if memory serves.
