The movie was all about what we've been discussing on DU for years now. Our job is to keep it going and expand, expand, expand. Even after Nov. 2, we must keep on truckin'.

5. I keep trying to "recruit" people to see it

Today I mentioned it to several friends, a few relatives, my neighbor, the waitress at a restaurant I frequent and even my pharmacist! I don't get into a political discussion with them, I don't offer any of my own thoughts about Bush*, nor do I give opinions about anything specific in the film, I simply say:

"Whatever your politics, you have to see this film. I don't care what your beliefs are or who you voted for, just go see it."

So far, everyone I've talked to has said they're definitely going to go! :-)

6. Kudos to Moore and all those who viewed his movie.

Last week, I saw Fahrenheit 9/11 in a suburban Twin Cities theater. Even after being exposed to the failings of the Bush Administration (through DU), I still left the theater silently cursing “Our Great Leader.” This film has been an awakening; one that I believe will set a defining tone for the following months. Many Americans are blissfully ignorant of the actions going on around them, and only through the brilliant use of the cinema medium does the truth come out.

BTW, this is my first post at DU, and it comes right at the time I turn 19! Yay! Pretty good birthday present, huh?
