CNN Special Report: "U.S. & Coalition/Casualties" as of 6/28/04
http://www.cnn.com/SPECIALS/2003/iraq/forces/casualties/

"There have been 972 coalition deaths, 854 Americans, 60 Britons, six Bulgarians, one Dane, one Dutch, one Estonian, one Hungarian, 18 Italians, one Latvian, six Poles, one Salvadoran, three Slovaks, 11 Spaniards, two Thai and six Ukrainians, in the war in Iraq as of June 28, 2004 (Graphical breakdown of casualties). The list below is the names of the soldiers, Marines, airmen, sailors and Coast Guardsmen whose families have been notified of their deaths by each country's government. At least 5,271 U.S. troops have been wounded in action, according to the Pentagon. The Pentagon does not report the number of non-hostile wounded. This list is updated regularly."

The CNN Special Report offers a photo of each (when available), name, age, unit, hometown, and details of death.

Today, when Bush scibbled "Let Freedom Reign" on a note received from his mistress informing him of the "good news," take a moment and visit CNN's site. Put some names and faces with the statistics. This is the legacy of George W. Bush.

My heart breaks for their families and my hope goes to the wounded...may they heal and find peace without pain.

2. Also not counted as "combat deaths"
Apparently, anyone who makes it to Ramstein Air Base with one breath of life left. I guess after that they died of natural causes.

How many of the wounded in action are no longer with us ?

But the Iraqi schools ARE open, and electricity is ALMOST at pre-war levels.
