BBV: Group presses for open testing of voting machines (TX)

Some Austinites want the Secretary of State to let them see the inner workings of those new electronic voting machines.

Members of the group Texas Safe Voting, along with other voting rights observers, have asked the Secretary of State to open closed-door testing sessions to the public.

The state says the Open Meetings Act does not apply to those sessions where computer experts and state officials examine the computer programs used to run the voting machines.

The attorney general will soon issue an opinion on the issue.

As for me I got the Diebold glare...as much as they can glare...they all have the "botox" look.
