NATO agreed to tain their troops...they said this takes weeks. Why the need and expense for something that should be winding down?

I think it's becuase the need for troops will increase as we reach out to another country...what else can it be?

2. No. They knew the whole thing is a farce. And when the Iraqis realize
how much of a farce it is, our troops will take all the flying shit. They need more cannon fodder. But now the press will be gone (not an American invasion, occupation, etc....move on, nothing to see) so they will be freer to do whatever they want.

4. I think it's only partially for the Iraq debacle.
CA people are still needed there to rebuild what we helped destroy. But, the Shrub will not be content with just Iraq.
