Great F-911 house party last night! New Orleans
Edited on Tue Jun-29-04 03:56 PM by funkybutt
The webcast slideshow ran into a few problems but otherwise it seemed to go very well. I think over 100 people showed up. Micheal Moore spoke for quite a while and made some really great points. Most are listed on his webpage michealmoore.com under the voter's pledge.

The hosts of our party projected the webcast on the exterior wall of a small house on the property. The webcast showed a map of the US and all the house parties were represented as white areas all across the country. It really felt like we were part of something big.

here's a couple of pics

4. We need the DVD for the real partying to begin. Come on Michael, we want
that DVD by the time of the Pubbie Convention. What a great antidote to the Pubbies that would be!

6. Wish I could have been there!
A party in New Orleans by itself sounds great. Throw in a 100 people who dislike dumbya and that sounds like a real great time.

9. Info about the host location *interesting read*
check it out..It's a guest house. If any of you visit NOLA, you should patronize it!

11. Thought I recognized the place
I live in Ohio, now, but lived for several years in the Bywater and have a brother who has been there for 30 years. I visit often and walk past that beautiful house. Now it will be even more special.
Bless you Nola folks.........you are special.

12. Thanks funkybutt.. I shoulda been there
... but I have a heavy academic load... I would've gone anyway! I recognize the place (been there for quite a few parties), and should've KNOWN... kick kick kick!!!

I'll be there on the 11th, but I can't remember the exact address. I usually ride my bike from Uptown to the Bayou, but my memory of last few trips is rather hazy. hee hee.

Crawfish and Beer! Waahoo!
