Smirk likes to tell dirty jokes

Bush on the board not worth much, says Carlyle founder

http://money.telegraph.co.uk/money/main.jhtml?xml=/money/2003/07/09/cnbush09.xml&menuId=242&sSheet=/money/2003/07/09/ixcity.html

Carlyle Group, the powerful investment house with close links to the Bush family, is facing acute embarrassment after the emergence of sardonic remarks the company founder made about the president.

In a talk to investors, David Rubenstein said George W Bush did little but tell dirty jokes while on the board of a company owned by Carlyle, and that he wouldn't have appeared in the top 25m people he would have suggested for president of the US.

-snip-

He did not think Mr Bush would go far in politics, saying: "If you said to me, name 25m people who would maybe be president of the United States, he wouldn't have been in that category. So you never know. Anyway, I haven't been invited to the White House for any things."

1. Shrub and the Mating Elephants
I wonder if he had any jokes about the "mating" elephants in the background of his tour through the South African wildlife preserve?

So symbolic of what the Rs are doing to all of us!

2. I Wish He Had Mentioned a Couple of Them

or someone else speaks up.

I would love to see Bush confronted with: "Mr. President, did you really tell the joke about the shepherd with the big penis in the New Orleans brothel?"

12. There are some who call themselves Christians...
who hold that if you are chosen by The Lord, and if you believe in Him, your behavior doesn't really matter, you are still saved. Besides, compared to lying, cheating, stealing and killing people by the thousands, a few dirty jokes aren't really such a big deal. ;)

http://prorev.com/bushcarlyle.htm

that other link left something out, including the name of the guy who got him the job.........Fred Malek!!!!!

does that name ring a bell?

It should

and I'm curious on the time frame of Caterair. what year would that be that dumbo got put on the board? was his daddy VP then?

more:

We put him on the board and spent three years. Came to all the meetings. Told a lot of jokes. Not that many clean ones. And after a while I kind of said to him, after about three years - you know, I'm not sure this is really for you. Maybe you should do something else. Because I don't think you're adding that much value to the board. You don't know that much about the company.

He said, well I think I'm getting out of this business anyway. And I don't really like it that much. So I'm probably going to resign from the board.
