If the Democrats takes over the Senate, and the new Majority Leader
uses the power as discussed in this: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=104x1889534

What would you assign the Republicans to do if the Majority Leader ALSO had the power to assign Republicans to certain committee?

I'll start.

Sen. Bill Frist: Sub-comittee on Cat Litter

Sen. Rick Santorum: Committee on Whipping for Gays

Sen. Wayne Allard: Sub-committee the analysis of the name "Mallard" (Think Mallard Fillmore)

1. I think you misread that
The majority leader wouldn't have rights to assign minority members to committee.

Such a change in rules would be silly on its face... but more than that, would require a Senate vote - and we ain't getting sixty votes for that.
